Of course the First Amendment only applies to censorship by the government.

The issue is not the First Amendment but the FCC Section 230...protection from lawsuits.

Let's assume that's true. Does Twitter block other conspiracy theories? Do they block say disinformation about Trump? Do they disinformation between say a couple engaged in a nasty divorce? Seems to me that they pick and choose what they block largely on their company's own political views when it comes to national figures.

These Social media "platforms" have gov't authorized libel exemption because they swore they are a 1st amendment, Free Speech platform, not an editor and publisher.

Sites like Twitter, Facebook, etc, are cracking down on malicious disinformation attacks. They are trying to save face rather than be dragged down into the sewers of the internet like other social media. They refuse to be used to spread conspiracy or pseudoscience.
