If ANYONE assaulted the police I hope they are charged convicted and thrown in jail for their crimes. I also hope that people that broke into the Capital building are charged convicted and go to jail. If ANYONE assaulted a cop and that assault caused his death then they should be charged with his murder and they should be convicted and sent to jail. Do you have any special knowledge of the cause of Sicknick's death?

You can repeat a narrative a thousands times and it still doesn’t make it true.

Officer Sicknick died the day after the event and I’m fairly confident if his death was directly tied to the alleged assault *we would all know it by now*.

The buried lede is why the cause of death is STILL such a big mystery. The only thing that is certain is the cause of death remains uncertain.

So kindly stop spreading misinformation about it. Please/thanks.

Agreed on breaking the law such as assaulting the police. Worse if the assault results in death or maiming. I have no sympathy for the people who participated in the assault on the Capitol and support seeing the maximum penalties applied for those who planned it, funded it, executed it and caused harm to others.

Not a lawyer so I don't know that if one person pistol whipped a cop and another only beat him into blindness with a flagpole whether the first person would spend more time in prison than the second. Offhand, I'd guess the person who committed the more vicious, harmful crime would do the most time regardless of the implement used.

This is why people who used a beer bottle in a fight can be charged more severely than someone who only used their fist.

Uh, wrong. They charge you when they arrest you and the prosecutor can alter the charges as evidence comes in. Just like the judge in the Floyd case decided to add Murder 3 onto the cop's charges.

You righties crack me up: you get easily frustrated by posts that you can't handle so go immediately to add-hom as though it's going to mean something or make you big.
