march 15 2021 Illegal immigrants have been flooding to the southern border of the United States, and they’re bringing COVID-19 with them. According to the CBP, Illegal immigrants are testing positive for COVID at a rate double the national average, but Texas Governor Greg Abbott says is accusing the Biden administration of withholding data from his state about the total number of illegals caught at the border who have tested positive for COVID-19.

Abbott, during an interview with Fox News on Sunday, said Texas “is responsible for fully reporting out anybody in our state who has COVID-19,” and that the Biden administration “has refused and failed to give to our state the total number of migrants who have COVID-19.”

Illegal border crossings plummeted during the Trump administration—an undeniable result of Trump’s zero-tolerance policy for illegal immigrants. The border wall also proved to be successful in blocking illegal crossings. Illegal border crossings have skyrocketed to six times what the Obama administration deemed crisis-level since immigrants started heading to the United States’ southern border after the election, believing Biden would deliver on amnesty.

Trump was a pedophile, but the border situation is a nightmare. Neither the Democrats nor the Republicans seem interesting in fixing Immigration Reform and creating laws against supporting, harboring or inciting illegal immigration.

could it be that the problem is huge and complex and no one knows for sure the best way to deal with it? tell me, what would your policy be? the people that came here to legally ask for asylum....where do you detain them while you vet their claim? the kids they catch inside the border- where do you detain them till you can get them reunited with family, or do you just drop them off back in Mexico and hope for the best? most of the illegals here came in legally, but overstayed visas and whatnot- if you catch them years later, and they have kids born here and american citizens, who have productive lives, good neighbors, good for the economy, pays state and local taxes, what do you do- to them and to their american citizen kids?

    The asylum provision in the Immigration and Nationality Act just states that eligible aliens “may” be granted asylum.

    The United States is a signatory to the UN’s Convention and Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. This means that it cannot return or expel “a refugee in any manner whatsoever to the frontiers of territories where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.”

    It does not mean that people who "want a job" or "fear gang violence" are eligible.
Something else to keep in mind when it comes to the credibility—or lack of credibility—of many asylum claims is that many aliens pass through countries with their own asylum laws on their way here—including Mexico.

If an alien doesn’t claim asylum before he gets to the U.S., that is a pretty good sign his reason for coming to the U.S. is more about economics than asylum.

Taking down Nazi Germany was a fucking huge problem too but we chipped away at it.

In this case, how about beefing up E-Verify? Making it a requirement that any registered business with more than X number of employees must use E-verify and report any illegals found?

How about requiring all apartment renters, home renters, real estates salesmen and hotel operators to verify the proper identification and legality of the person asking to stay?

Now ask yourself why they are trying to illegally cross the border.

If flies keep bothering a person in an open field, they have several remedies available. One is to put a giant net over the field. There's still a problem with those already inside the net.

Another is bug repellent. Easier, cheaper, but still cost money.

Another is to find out if they like your after shave or some other scent and stop wearing what attracts them. That solution is free. ;)
 
The latest crisis is kids whose parents brought them them to our border because they think Biden will let them in. For political reasons, knuckle-dragging JPP leftists will blame Trump, so read this and counter their shrill, emotional protests with the facts:

When aliens are caught illegally crossing the border and then claim asylum they put themselves into the situation of being prosecuted for illegal entry. They are then separated from their children because of a Clinton-era legal settlement.

There is a lot of blame to share.

That includes alien parents themselves, as well as the courts and immigration policies foolishly created by the Obama administration and resurrected wholesale by his minions who are running the country once more.

The perverse incentives in those policies have endangered the lives and safety of children and helped fund the Mexican cartels that run human trafficking and drug smuggling networks on our southern border.

Here are the facts:

  • In 1997, the Clinton administration entered into a settlement agreement in Flores v. Reno, a lawsuit filed in federal court in California by pro-illegal immigration advocacy groups challenging the detention of juvenile aliens taken into custody by the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
  • The Clinton administration agreed to settle this litigation despite the fact the Supreme Court had upheld the Immigration and Naturalization Service regulation that provided for the release of minors only to their parents, close relatives, or legal guardians.
  • The Flores agreement allows the agency to detain unaccompanied minors for only “20 days before releasing them to the Department of Health and Human Services which places the minors in foster or shelter situations until they locate a sponsor.”
  • But in a controversial decision, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit, at the time the most liberal in the country, interpreted the settlement agreement to apply to “both minors who are accompanied and unaccompanied by their parents.”
  • In other words, it was the 9th Circuit’s interpretation of the Clinton administration’s settlement agreement that doesn’t allow juvenile aliens to stay with their parents who have been detained for unlawful entry into the country.
Those who come here illegally with kids are to blame for their children being assigned to foster care. If those parents would return to - or stay in - their home countries, they would be immediately reunited with their children.

This issue should be kept in perspective. No justice system can refuse to arrest, prosecute, and jail foreigners who violate laws because they have children.

Of course, the Biden regime’s defenders know about the Flores settlement, and the goal of their propaganda war is to stop all detentions, and return to the “catch and release” policies of the failed Obama administration.

We need to end birthright citizenship. Someone born in america to an illegal alien mother is NOT a citizen. That's what the 14A says. But we ignore it and say they are citizens.
