Unemployment Rate Could Rival Great Depression’s

Nah...what he'll do is start a brand new thread and ban you from it. Because he's a little bitch.

Change your diapers you whiny little cunt. God you're not merely and idiot, but one with an arrogant, pompous, misplaced high self opinion. The worst kind of idiot.

You don't even know what the labor force participation rate is. It has not changed at all since Trump took over. And it is a meaningless measure given the number of boomers that are retiring every single day. Real wages have not increased at all under Trump. Trump created fewer jobs in his first 36 months in office than Obama did in his last 36 months in office. Trump has not once reached Obamas best GDP quarter. And of course your charts about the makeup of congress, etc. have nothing to do with an economic discussion. You really suck at this. Stick to trolling.

Great Depression is a cakewalk compared to getting this economy up and running again.

I keep hearing "the fundamentals are sound" and they were, but we are in a situation where this has never been done before.
I think we are going to be screwed for a long time - i hope I am wrong.

GET STARTED NOW!! (May 1st)

Not to be to blunt about it, but I don't think you need to worry. Yes, some businesses have failed. Others will take their place.

The situation is not as bad as you think it is. During the Black Death in London, half the population was killed and it lasted for years.
In the Americas, death to the indians was mostly by disease. It killed MORE than half their population and left only the remnants you see now. Whole tribes disappeared.

The death rate from Corona virus is 0.000273% (source: CDC and U.S. Census). The infection rate is already going down everywhere and never exceeded 0.00147% (same sources). That's of course assuming the sources are accurate.

What's different? The hype.

How was the tax cut stupid? How is letting people keep more of what they earn stupid? Be specific. How is giving the Government MORE of our hard earned wealth smart? Be specific.

#Moron

I will, but this post will seem like jibberish to you. You aren't anywhere near smart enough to understand it. Tax cuts are not on their surface either good or bad. But they need to have a purpose. In general, because tax cuts will reduce revenue, it makes very little sense to use them as a stimulus when the economy is growing especially when they are funded by debt. It makes even less sense if those tax cuts are not targeted at increasing consumer spending. This was a tax cut for corporations. It has been proven time and again that supply side economics does not work. So all Trump accomplished was a very short sugar high, and then an immediate return to the 2-3% GDP growth. So he accomplished nothing while increasing the deficit by about 50% from Obama's last budget. It's stupid. You take it personally, which makes me laugh. The movement of massive amounts of wealth to the top 1% is damaging to the economy. It cannot continue. The rich don't spend. Tax breaks for the rich are therefore incredibly ineffective as a stimulus. Sorry for all the big words. When you're done sucking your thumb and finishing your bottle, feel free to tell me to fuck off again. You are a one trick pony

GDP is not the economy. Real wages have increased. Real tax cuts have occurred. Trump doesn't create jobs. The businesses that came back to the United States do. Yes, businesses have come back to the United States, despite your efforts to deny it.

You obviously think that government budgets are the economy. You are wrong. Letting people keep more of their money means more money available in the economy. Tax cuts hit everyone, not just the rich. The only people that didn't get tax cuts don't pay income taxes (the poor).

The rich do spend. A lot. They run businesses that buy supplies to function and pay employees a wage. They buy nice homes, nice cars, maybe an airplane or two, maybe another company.

Wealth is not moving to the top. It is moving around. It is being created. That's what capitalism does.

You are just chanting verses from the Church of Karl Marx.

LOL, you think GDP and 'government budgets' are the same thing? YOU are wrong. And you are wrong when you say 'letting people keep more of their money means more money available in the economy'. That is not always true, which was my point about who is targeted for a tax cut. Here's a simple example. Let's say we taxed Bill Gates an extra 10 million dollars, and that ten million dollars went to expanded unemployment benefits. Do you think there is now less money available in the economy? Of course not. There is actually MORE, because the velocity of that money will be increased substantially because it is in the hands of a consumer who will spend 100% of it. Wealth is not moving to the top? Ahhhhh, not sure where you've been for the last 40 years, but it most certainly HAS moved to the top.

PSDT_01.10.20_economic-inequality_1-4.jpg

That's the whole problem. The rich do not spend anywhere near the same percentage of their disposable in come as the middle class and the poor. You are simply dead wrong about pretty much every statement you just made.

I think he was destroying the economy, it was just at a slower pace. COVID sped the whole thing up and laid the vulnerabilities in the economy bare for all to see.

26M people lost their jobs and health care and Conservatives have no idea what to do about it other than dropping to their knees and begging a sky fairy for help.

You don't think; you rant and lie like a mental case on steroids. You should see someone about that serious case of moron you have.

There is one big difference however. We don't have FDR making the Great Depression Great (lasting for years and years until after he and Truman left office). It took Eisenhower 2 years to repair the damage. When he did, the economy took off like a rocket.

Under Trump, the economy was already improving...a lot. It will again, and in the space of a few months.

This of course terrifies the Democrats.

Get the f'king government out of the way, and the economy takes off.

The economy goes absolutely nowhere whiteout the government. The alone put billions upon billions into the economy. We cold not recover without them and the Fed. You aint got a clue, sweetie. Your government is spending trillions just to get this economy to move.

The first clue was calling himself "Truth Detector", like how Joe (not his real name) the Plumber (not his real job) postured back in 2008...the lying and exaggerating of personal given circumstances is called itjihad and Conservatives have no problem practicing it. Even a GOP State Official said anti-lockdown protesters should cosplay as medical professionals to lend themselves credibility they otherwise do not have.

Your welcome to point out any lies I ever posted. One thing we can be assured of, you're incapable of posting without lying. It's precious watching two triggered, lying leftist loons crying about lies. :palm:

He didn't say that you lying loon. :palm: Perhaps you should COMPREHEND before you BLOVIATE?

And you are wrong when you say 'letting people keep more of their money means more money available in the economy'. That is not always true,

How is that untrue? If people have more of their own hard earned wealth, where does it go? Does it evaporate into thin air?

which was my point about who is targeted for a tax cut.

You don't have a point. The only point you have is sitting on your shoulders. ;)

Here's a simple example. Let's say we taxed Bill Gates an extra 10 million dollars, and that ten million dollars went to expanded unemployment benefits. Do you think there is now less money available in the economy? Of course not.

Another uneducated dunce who doesn't understand the concept of the money multiplier. :palm:

A better question is why do we need to tax Gates an extra 10 million dollars to expand unemployment? Why not let him reinvest the money so that he can create more jobs keeping people OFF unemployment rolls.

You really are dumber than a box of rocks.

There is actually MORE, because the velocity of that money will be increased substantially because it is in the hands of a consumer who will spend 100% of it.

Wrong; when Government confiscates wealth and redistributes that money, it actually reduces the "velocity" money multiplier and does little to create more wealth. If Gates kept the money and reinvested it, which he has to, then the multiplier effect is ten times greater.

Wealth is not moving to the top?

Another painfully ignorant leftist claim; that wealth trickles up through Government redistribution schemes. :palm:

Ahhhhh, not sure where you've been for the last 40 years, but it most certainly HAS moved to the top.

I see you have learned nothing about economics and think that wealth creation comes from spending instead of INVESTING. I think your new nickname will be He Who Is Dumber Than a Box of Rocks.

The economy goes absolutely nowhere whiteout the government.

Another dumbass that never made it through grade school. :palm: The Government is NOTHING without the private sector you dumb fuck. You really should STFU; it's obvious your an uneducated dumbass.

The alone put billions upon billions into the economy. We cold not recover without them and the Fed.

Are you drunk again? This makes ZERO sense. #retard

You aint got a clue, sweetie.

Truly; the definition of irony. :palm:

Your government is spending trillions just to get this economy to move.

Only because OUR Government is the reason 30 million are unemployed and businesses are closing their doors. #fuckoff

The cat lady is just another dumb fuck Democrat who is clueless as to how government gets money. Completely fucking clueless.

Your ignorance on this topic is sublime. Just remarkable. Take an econ class. Bill Gates is not a job creator. He buys planes, and cars, and houses that he doesn't need. And he gives away most of his money. That ten million will multiply far faster in the hands of unemployed people than in the hands of Bill Gates. Anyone who knows anything about economics knows that. Oh, sorry. I was right. You don't have the chops. When faced with a statement you can't respond to you just type one of your handful of ad homs. You're a waste of time.

The other purpose of tax cuts is to starve the government of revenue to produce artificial deficits that are then used as the excuse to extract punitive cuts to social spending to which they are fundamentally opposed, but lack the courage, will, and support to repeal through conventional legislation.

In other words, tax cuts are fiscal terrorism: fly planes of tax cuts into the budget, then scream jihad about the budget deficits the tax cut just created.
