US on track to borrow most money since 2008 financial crisis: report

No. Instead, the tax cuts fueled the housing bubble. We know it fueled the housing bubble because Bush was campaigning on that very thing in 2004:

Bush Ties Policy to Record Home Ownership
Touting his tax cuts as the economy's savior — and pointing to the strong housing market as proof — Bush said "more people own their own home now than ever." More than 50 percent of minorities owned their own homes in the last three months of 2003 for the first time ever, the president said.

Blaming 9/11 for four straight years of revenue below 2000 levels is weak sauce.

No, 9/11 didn't have a profound effect on the economy and you can't provide any evidence showing it did.

The DJIA recovered all the losses on 9/11 by November of 2001.

GDP growth for 2001 was positive.

Same boorish false bullshit; different day. :lolup:Moron doesn't even realize what an idiot he really is. :rofl2:

Raising the minimum wage works great if your goal is increase the use of automation and eliminate jobs for those on the margain. What middle class taxes would you cut?

So back in 2014, 13 states raised their minimum wage and all 13 states saw faster job growth than the 37 states that didn't.

So there goes your first stupid argument that raising the MW results in job loss.

Secondly, automation has been happening since the cotton gin. Were robots replacing workers on GM lines in the 80's and 90's because of the minimum wage? No. They were replacing workers because automation is always happening.

Thirdly, all you're doing is making the case for a universal basic income; you can't employ someone in a job that a robot does.

regardless, we could not possibly surpass the 10 trillion in additional debt added under Obama

NEXT

I didn't even know that was friggin possible in 8 years given the fact that every president in History combined didn't do that

No, but irrelevant. You claimed tax cuts are followed by increase in revenue. I showed that by the exact numbers, that is false. Revenue spiked in 2005, yes, 5 years after the tax cut. You can't jump over 4 years of federal receipts like that and attribute that spike to the tax cuts.

Your lying; in EVERY single case of tax cuts, revenues continued to increase in the following years. Arguments suggesting we have a revenue problem are not merely moronic, but false.

Are you forgetting about the $21T the Pentagon cannot account for spending between 1998-2015?

This society generates more than it needs to resolve everything this society faces, but we choose to fund empire and subsidize an industrial ruling class instead.

Link us up dumb fuck.

Revenue for 2004 was below 2000. Revenue for 2003 was below 2004.

All your tax cuts did was create massive deficits. FOUR record deficits in 8 years after erasing a budget surplus.

And you only exceeded 2000 revenues in 2005 because of the subprime mortgage bubble you started inflating in 2004. The same bubble you blame on Democrats while trying to give credit for the economic gains to the tax cuts.

But that's a double-edged sword because tying tax cuts to the growth of housing ends up tying the Bush Tax Cuts to the Housing Bubble.

That's why Bush campaigned on the housing market as proof the tax cuts worked.

I am actually amazed the myth that tax cuts generate more revenue and pay for themselves is still being floated around in the rightwing.

It is actually astonishing, because the data is unequivocal and easily available that Republican tax cuts always lead to massive deficits.

Your lying; in EVERY single case of tax cuts, revenues continued to increase in the following years.

NO!

LIE!

WRONG!

Revenues were below 2000 levels from 2001-2004.

Revenues were below 1982 levels in 1983.

KS repealed their tax cuts in 2017 because they created massive deficits thanks to revenue declines. Once they did, their budget suddenly recorded surpluses.\

Everything you say is a lie.

I am actually amazed the myth that tax cuts generate more revenue and pay for themselves is still being floated around in the rightwing.

Bush set four all-time high deficit records thanks to his tax cuts.

His final FY deficit in 2009 currently stands as the largest deficit of all time. Before that, he set a record deficit in 2003, 2004, and 2008.

They are married to that dogma about tax cuts now. They've become zealots.

I'll repeat. Increased minimum wage hurts those at the margain. That states raised the minimum wage during a period of growth and still had positive employment numbers doesn't disapprove it. Studies have shown for years who it hurts as did the recent Seattle study done by UDub. An argument isn't stupid because you disagree with it. I understand it can be disconcerting when facts get in the way of your preconceived notions.

Revenue for 2004 was below 2000. Revenue for 2003 was below 2004.

That was a result of the recession Clinton handed Bush and 9-11 you brain dead chihuahua.

All your tax cuts did was create massive deficits.

This is nothing more than a massive lie. Deficits aren't caused by tax cuts you ignorant dullard; they are caused by spending MORE than you take in. During Obama's reign of ERROR there were no tax cuts and he continues spending far more than he took in.

FOUR record deficits in 8 years after erasing a budget surplus.

Revenues increased from 2.105 trillion to 3.268 trillion during Obama's reign of ERROR you willful idiot. The deficit climbed exponentially. It has NOTHING to do with tax cuts you moron.

And you only exceeded 2000 revenues in 2005 because of the subprime mortgage bubble you started inflating in 2004. The same bubble you blame on Democrats while trying to give credit for the economic gains to the tax cuts.

A recession and 9-11 caused that you dumbass.

But that's a double-edged sword because tying tax cuts to the growth of housing ends up tying the Bush Tax Cuts to the Housing Bubble.

There you go with that boorish lie again.

That's why Bush campaigned on the housing market as proof the tax cuts worked.

Thar she bloviates again!

I'll repeat.

Of course you will, because you are mentally and physically unable to process information that runs counter to whatever narrow narrative you're trying to push on people.

States That Raised Minimum Wage See Faster Job Growth, Report Says
New data released by the Department of Labor shows that raising the minimum wage in some states does not appear to have had a negative impact on job growth, contrary to what critics said would happen.
In a report on Friday, the 13 states that raised their minimum wages on Jan. 1 have added jobs at a faster pace than those that did not.

How is it a myth you willful idiot. Look at the fucking history. We have has numerous tax cuts since JFK and revenue keeps climbing through the roof. The problem is that politicians keep spending more than they are taking in.

I do wish you had a brain.

Unless we pass more tax cuts (check) and increase military spending (check).

The Russia Tax Cut added at least $1.5T to the debt. Where are the teabags!?

the fact that you don't even realize your argument is that the Government should keep more of our money thereby everything will be better,
is astonishing

If it wasn't for evince and Domer you'd be the dumbest on the forum, take your bronze medal and wear it proudly

Were the tax cuts cancelled for Bush's second term? What happened on September 11th 2001? You don't think that could have had a profound effect on the economy? Just saying.

Damn, girl, you've got so many boots up your as in regards to your asinine claim you're practically a shoe store.

ncreased minimum wage hurts those at the margain

No it doesn't.

In fact, it helps move people from lower-paying jobs into higher-paying jobs. So the net effect is that you end up with fewer people employed at lower-wage jobs because they got better jobs and/or higher pay. That's what happened when Seattle raised their MW; the number of people working at low-wage jobs dropped, and the number of people working at higher-wage jobs increased.

Seattle also has a lower unemployment rate than the rest of the country.
