It's also often idiopathic in nature -- in other words, they cannot determine the cause. Sometimes it happens after the person has had a viral infection. It almost always resolves on its own in due time.
Given the possible adverse consequences of a COVID infection in someone my age, I'll take my chances with the vaccine.
Nothing will be 'mandated' But good luck going to the movies, or getting on an airplane, or going to sporting event, or going to a restaurant. At least you won't have gotten a mild headache. Congrats on your enlightened stance.

I think I'll wait to see how this plays out before getting it. I remember the disastrous anthrax vaccine the military was pushing out for no really good reason in the early 2000's. That one messed a whole bunch of people up to the point they got medical disability discharges because of it.

What will be interesting is seeing how many of the younger population is in a rush to take it.
Their risk of dying from COVID approaches zero and is actually less lethal than the flu [yes, I dared to say that]. Their risk from taking the vaccine is *probably* negligible but we won’t have a definitive answer on that for a least a couple years.
I wouldn’t blame them for not taking it.
And the young have the most life to lose if this vaccine turns out to be a killer. There is a really good argument that this should not even be offered to the young.
