Capitalism has no purpose. It's haphazard. Capitalism is simply a descriptive term for an economic system that we use. It's called capitalism because it operates on the basis of capital, or wealth which is invested in profit-making ventures. The owners of capital expect a return on their investment. Managers of capitalist businesses attempt to maximize profits, which is at odds with providing for workers, non-workers, or consumers.
We use government to regulate capitalism so those who do not possess great capital are able to enjoy life, and thus will not revolt and overturn the system for the holders of capital, who inherently have great power.

I never asked you for your personal anecdotal insights. You volunteered them without a prompt from me. The reason is obvious; there is no actual, verifiable data to support your belief system so you just make up a bunch of given circumstances for your message board character instead. So that way, you can contradict the actual economic numbers that undermine your belief system and positions without having to provide any verifiable data yourself.
