As I understand it the 14th Amendment was debated and written to ensure that freed slaves and native Americans were given citizenship and rights thereof. It was written at time that it was necessary. Like most things, times have changed, people have found loopholes and are in my opinion abusing it. I have always been on the mind that this country is a nation of immigrants. That is what built it. I have a real problem with folks not coming here legally though.

Liberals like to leave off the last part. Is there another country that lets illegals spawn within their borders that can make the viable tissue mass a citizen of the United States for 85 years with all of those benefits?

Saying something that turns out not to have been true about a future condition is not a lie, it is an error or mistake.
Saying something about a present condition that is untrue is a lie.
