Actually i would say he has allowed the prior Regime to maintain power in Venezuela as they were already running the Country like a crime syndicate under Maduro and when Trump took Maduro out, he was able to make a deal with the remaining head, that America would leave them in power, basically if they got Maduro's majority cut of the country's wealth.

The same thugs with guns on motorbikes are still patrolling Venezuela doing the same thing. Venezuela's opposition leader, Machado, is still banned from entering the country for fear she will overturn the entire administration. People are still streaming out of the country.

In the end, it is not regime change so much as leader change. It would be like removing Hitler, but allowing the Holocaust to continue.

Trump has reinstated the old school colonism which is what radicalized the Middle East, giving rise to Al Qaeda and then the terrorist organizations that followed.

They do decapitations of leadership so they can install their own puppets and rape the country of their wealth. And it builds such resentment in the people that they lash out against the enabler country who they blame more than their puppet leadership.

This could end with serious blowback against America in the form of new terrorist groups and attacks originated on the continent

The problem with "to the victor goes the spoils" is we are not always the victor. The people with the most(us) have the most reason to not support theft. But trump is an idiot, along with being evil.
