What is privilege?

Every single Conservative and bOtHsIdErIsT on JPP lie and exaggerate their personal circumstances in order to lend credibility to their weak arguments.

It's like clockwork too...the moment the reach the end of the limited facts they have in any debate, they always -ALWAYS AND WITHOUT FAIL- immediately invoke unverifiable anecdotes or invented personal given circumstances.

All of them. No exceptions.
ooooh dude. Now you are looking like a nut job on the order of truth detector or grokmaster.

Privilege is paying 49% of the taxes, but getting 63% of the spending...

Propping up the boonies, Atlanta’s thankless burden
Back in 2009, researchers from Georgia State University found that the 10-county metro Atlanta region had 43 percent of the state's population and generated 53 percent of the state's taxable income. That area contributed 51 percent of state revenue but got back just 37 percent of state expenditures. In essence, each metro Atlantan cut a check for $500 each year for every resident elsewhere.

What is your solution to this travesty of taxation?

And yet here you are, responding to many of my posts. Hmmm.

If you really wanted to ignore someone and cut them off, you wouldn't respond to their posts, nor would you announce it.

You'd just do it.

There are several JPP posters who posts I completely ignore. I don't tell them I'm doing it though, nor do I tell them they aren't worth my time despite taking my time to tell them that.

That's how we know you people are full of shit here. You say you put people on ignore, but that's all you talk about! So it defeats the purpose of "ignore" if you say you're doing it, and responding to posts and threads of people you say you "ignored".

Your posts always SUCK, Leaky Vagina. They're always totally devoid of ANY intelligence, insight, or humor. A total WASTE of space on these threads. Dreadful.

I believe in doing away with deductions and having a fair flat tax that increases with income or profit, but not going above 15%
I agree with you 100%. I once did a very rough back of the napkin estimate of budget and taxes and came up with 20%. But there are a lot of variables to be considered.

If nothing else a simplification of the tax code focusing on those things most taxpayers can benefit. Loopholes that benefit only a small percentage of the population should be eliminated.

Those going to private schools are too young to pay taxes. :)

Their parents pay sales and real estate taxes every year to support the county, their city and their state. Those taxes are spent by local and state governments according to the will of state and local citizens. One of those wills is public education since it’s in every citizen’s interest that all kids have a basic education. It makes them better workers and better taxpayers rather than wards or prisoners of the state.

I don’t have any kids. Are you saying I shouldn’t have to pay any public education taxes? It’s in my best interest to pay public education taxes because it’s better to have those kids grow up and become good taxpayers supporting me in my retirement rather than for me having to always be on my guard to ward off thieves and robbers.

Their parents shouldn't pay the taxes to fund public schools.

That has, and always will be, a lame argument to justify taxes.

If parents wants their kids to have a good education, let them do what I did. Pay for private school where those that don't want to be there are obliged and those that want to learn can do it without the pieces of shit not interested in getting an education hampering them like many that are allowed to stay in public schools despite showing they aren't interested in learning.

Good god you're embarrassing.

What's embarrassing are people like you that claim you care about others not having certain things then refusing to provide them what YOU say they need. Without fail, those like you and LV that claim to care for others care enough to see how much you can have someone else forced to pay.

What's also embarrassing is your cartoon. When we elect a President using overall popular vote, let me know. Since it is determined by electoral votes, I suggest you get a better understanding of how the system works before running your left wing dick sucker and making yourself look foolish.

How does whether or not a given poster pays taxes enhance their rhetorical point? Just curious...

It's not about rhetoric. If you don't pay taxes, don't demand others that already do pay more. Either contribute to society or get the fuck out of it.

We wouldn't spend nearly that much at today's given rates.

Sigh...that is what we are currently spending, brainiac.

We are currently spending that much. M4A would result in us spending less overall, like the Mercatus Center says.

Increase taxes on the rich and corporations.

They just got a $2.5T tax cut that did nothing other than plunge us into a recession back in February.

I'd be content to return to the tax rates of 1980.

^^^^Another example of someone not paying taxes thinking those that already do should pay more.

I'm not the one inventing personal given circumstances on anonymous message boards to lend credibility to an argument that has none.
True, but you are getting overly-emotional about it with a phrase like “ Every single Conservative and bOtHsIdErIsT on JPP lie and exaggerate their personal circumstances in order to lend credibility to their weak arguments.”.

Agreed. It’s fine to “cut the fat” but when our leaders are whacking at meat and bone, the nation is weakening as proved by the record-setting national debt President Donald J. Trump has given us every year.

Well, but I mean...*gestures to JPP*.

I have never, never, never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever been in a single debate on JPP with either a Conservative or bOtHsIdErIsT where they didn't devolve the debate into a collection of vague, ambiguous, and laughably unverifiable anecdotes.

Not once.

Can I tell you a dirty secret about the debt? It doesn't fucking matter. The debt has little to no bearing on our daily lives. The only time it does is when it causes interest rates to rise, but we've been at low interest rates for over a decade even as the debt has grown. The debt doesn't even have to be paid off.

The only way the debt becomes a problem is if America as a borrowing entity somehow dies, like how an individual dies. But the government is not an individual, it is an entity with unlimited borrowing power. The debt we currently have doesn't have a "must pay by X date".

So whenever anyone tries to cry fake tears over the debt, just know that is a strategy to go after the government spending to which they are ideologically opposed, but lack the courage, will, and support to repeal through conventional legislation. So they do the next best thing...fly planes of tax cuts into the budget, producing deficits, then whining about those deficits their tax cut terrorism caused.

That is what I call fiscal terrorism, and it has been GOP orthodoxy since 1981.

So your excuse is “but Mommmmmm, everyone else is doing it!”?

Do you consider me to be a Conservative? If so, why? If not, why not?

Really? Have you ever talked to a Greek, Italian or any other Euro whose country spent itself to bankruptcy?

What do you think would happen if Trump declared “The US is debt free! We will not honor any debts made before today!”? After all, if you are correct, it doesn’t fucking matter.
