Racists are so accustomed to hatred and thinking the worst of black people that they naturally assume if black people get the chance they would seek revenge against them. They are afraid of that prospect so they find any way they can to continue suppression.

Their problem is they assume others are as shallow as they are. They won't give themselves any credit for being magnanimous (which they certainly are not) so they can't imagine anyone else being so either.

In short they think the worst of themselves so they project that on others. They don't see equality as being possible. They foolishly think, given the chance, that black people would dominate them and subject them to what they are dishing out towards black people.

They are essentially butt hurt because they know the battle for white dominance is already lost.

Historically speaking about race in America, it's completely understandable to discuss race in black/white terms as you are doing here.

This thread is about the diversification of America. Hispanics outnumber black people. Asians are the fastest growing immigrant group. There are far more bi-racial kids today. Racial dynamics and cultural relationships and acceptance go far beyond simple white and black.

For older folks I understand the black/white lens because that's what you grew up with, but this isn't the America of your youth.

They come to the US because they're attracted by the opportunities our democratic freedoms make possible.

Among those freedoms are the freedom to be able to express their cultural heritage, something that is as natural an instinct as your own inclination to sit on the front porch spitting tobacco juice into the front yard, to keep beat up old pickup trucks parked under trees with the doors, windshields and hoods removed and much of the engine and transmission spread out all over the ground, or to get drunk, fire weapons into the air and yell

"YEEEEEE HAAAWWWW!!!!"

People want familiarity.

It's possible I'm not fully understanding your position so if that's the case I'm not trying to respond in bad faith.

I see your position as saying with more non-whites gaining power in the future as demographics change then policies will change. That's certainly possible but at the same time it's also not guaranteed because someone's race doesn't necessarily say what policies they support.
