Why did Mick Jagger come to U.S. and pay for his heart surgery when it's FREE in UK??

Govt-run healthcare like govt-run anything is always inferior.

Supporters of free universal health care can’t explain why U.K. citizen Mick Jagger had his life saving heart surgery in the U.S.

I’ll explain it.

There is a tradeoff between time and money.

When something is “free,” it often comes with the “cost” of having to wait in line.

Mick Jagger knew that he could either get “free” heart surgery in the U.K. (where he is a citizen), at the cost of having to wait on a waiting list, or, he could get the surgery immediately by paying out of his own pocket to have his surgery in the U.S.

When Robert Bourassa, the premier of Quebec, Canada, needed cancer treatment, he came to the United States and paid for his health care with his own money.

And when Canadian Liberal MP Belinda Stronach needed cancer treatment, she also came to the United States and paid for her health care with her own money.

You're late on this discussion, as it was already dealt with. He has money, and can get to the front of the line here. Socialized medicine takes the prestige, and sway out of money, when it comes to your care. You have to wait your turn, with everyone else. There you have people waiting for care, rather then waiting till it get's so bad, they end up in the ER, or just die. Now they just need to work on getting more doctors trained, to keep up with demand. He might also know how busy they are, and want to save the doctors for someone else, since he can afford it.

Because he was in Miami at the time. They were launching an American and Canadian tour.

American health care is great,it's the middle man,the sleezy insurance companies making billions, while trying to get out of paying anything they can, that's wrong with American health system.

The health care in america is pretty good. The problem is the cost. Health insurance should be illegal.

I'll say,

theres a reason why people fly here for healthcare, it's the top tier of all

Obama tried to kill that with his ill advised pandering "tax", he named Obamacare

trump killed Obamacare, so
as long as Democrats stay away from power US healthcare is and will be top teir

Didn't Trump promise affordable health care for all? That's another one he's failed to deliver on.
