Price and cost aren’t the same thing.It is cheaper to leave them than start an operation to take them out. Besides, we do not control the territory.

Well, this is more of an insurrection, a coup, a mutiny than a surrender. In fact it was not putting up a fight or surrendering at all.
The Afghanistan Army and Police we trained and equipped for the last 20 years simply went to the other side intentionally and willfully.
