Why hasn't Christopher Steele been charged with lying to the FBI?

This thread has nothing to do with whether you believe the dossier or not.


It is solely for the purpose of discussing why Christopher Steele has not been charged with lying to the FBI the way that Michael Flynn was and George Papadopolous was?

It is clear that the FBI fired him for not being truthful about giving the information to Michael Isikoff. So why isn't the FBI charging him?

Steele is a ex British agent, with high qualifications. He was well versed in Russia. I suppose the fact he told the truth has a lot to do with why he was not charged. The FBI fired him? WTF. He was a Brit hired by Fusion to get info on Russian/Trump criminal behavior. Steele supplied the FBI with information on FIFA. He was not hired by them.
