I beleive some level of socialism is necessary to have a healthy functioning society as a counterbalance to a necessary level of capitalism.
Many Retrumplicans would have called it socialist if Obama had done it.

Sure, many. The Government telling the airlines they must ground the airplanes is a bit socialist, in that it takes some ownership rights away from the corporations and allows the government control instead. There are thousands of other examples. Energy/power companies in the Untied States are generally very socialist. The auto manufacturer companies that are heavily managed by unions are another example. I could go on for a long time.
The way Lawyers are generally self managed with the ability to kick eachother out of the profession has a lot of socialist elements to it.

The problem with socialism/marxism and communism is that it runs counter to human nature. Oh, you will always have takers who are willing to demand that others provide for them. We see it here on a daily basis from JPP leftists. JPP is littered with leftists. But, for most, human nature is that we want to take care of ourselves first. We want to provide for our family. We don't want to have our property confiscated by the government to have it transferred to a taker so we resist. Well, noble "socialists" such as yourself can't abide by that. You see, you are convinced of your own self importance and aggrandizement. You ask yourself "How could anyone be against me taking their property so I can help the poor, the sick, the children and the old?". You convince yourselves that those who resist you are "evil" and "greedy" and whatever other derision you can throw their way. But, you won't accept human nature, so you eventually turn to force. You will not abandon what you believe to be "noble" goals so you convince yourself that the ends justify they means.
That is why everywhere true socialism is tried, it leads to violence, destruction and poverty. Oh, trust me I know history all too well. It is you who does not. All of the things you accuse Trump of being, the democrat party does and more. You just can't see it.
