That does not change the fact that the idiot misquoted him.

That said, I think the Dems like calling for the doom of the Reps (and vice versa) as a party a little too much. They thought they had a lock in 2016, then blew it with a horrid candidate who couldn't beat one of the worst candidates in history. They have been going further and further off the rail since. The vocal side of the Democratic party is way further to the left than they should be. They keep going left and they will be allowing the Reps to maintain complete control in DC. Right now, they will likely retake the House by a few seats. Their chances at the Senate are pretty much gone, barring a late surprise of some sort.
