YES it's that Stupid ...

If I had a cough or cold and was prone to sneezing I'd wear one to protect others from my bugs. But the cheap masks are useless in protecting the ones who wear them. Absolutely useless.

Most of the transmission of Covid-19 appears to be by people who are either asymptomatic or presymptomatic. So you can be transmitting the virus without obvious coughing or sneezing. Even a cheap mask will reduce your transmission.

So the question is do you care about others?

They also recommend wearing a dick rubber.

Wearing a condom while having intercourse would generally be a good idea. You should also get tested for HIV. There are some similarities between HIV and Covid-19, in that both can be transmitted from people with obvious symptoms.

A barber in NY opened up illegally 3 weeks ago, Now the health department is trying to track down his customers since he got Corona. At least he got his right to make other people sick It is in the righty constitution.

You claim you are doing risky behavior that could hurt yourself and others, but say you are not suffering... YET!!! Well isn't that the defense of the drunk driver?

I'm not breaking any laws. No need for defense. Risky behavior is going in a grocery store with or without a mask.

It would only reduce transmission by aerosol. If I were coughing or sneezing I'd wear a mask.

Yes. I no longer cough or sneeze in stranger's faces since the onset of the China virus.

So is curbside pickup. I've yet to see anybody use that service.

A lot of people use condoms. If they were not, AIDS would be a much bigger problem than it is.

Do you mean restaurant curbside pickup? I am doing that on a daily basis. It is crowded, so a lot of people are doing that too.

The majority of transmissions of Covid-19 are by people not coughing or sneezing, so you are refusing to limit transmission in the majority of cases.

. Putting your life savings in cash is quite dangerous. First off, it is in effectively a banking account, and if the holder of that account fails... Then there is the danger of inflation. A diversified investment strategy is almost always the way to go.
Only temporary. Wife put in money markets on March 2 when the Dow was at
26,700. It's at 23,600 . She timed it pretty well.
.
But, there are not the great buying opportunities we would expect in such a global downturn.
Correct. The American market hasn't been this overvalued since 1999. Most other world markets have been more pragmatic. The April bull run was insane.

No I mean grocery curbside. Our Fred Meyer has as many in there as always.

Masks are useless for reduction of airborne transmission. Completely useless. Unless they lied at my infection control CE classes the last 20 years. Or all of a sudden *gasp* they miraculously started preventing airborne transmission.

Market timing is tough, but doable. I have been moving away from even trying to the concept of consistent contribution to stock portfolio. If you but a thousand dollars worth of a given stock every day, you are buying more of the stock when it is down, and less when it is up... Without any thinking. I still haven't worked out in my head how to do this with my new pile.

The scary part is that the stock market is extremely overvalued, while the underlying value is crashing in unknown ways. Worse yet, no one really knows what is happening with cash, but it is assumably going drastically in one direction or another, inflation, or more likely deflation.

It is a pile of money I did not have before, and that I probably do not need in any immediate sense, so I should not worry so much if I lose a chunk of it.

Many companies around here have been trying to get either curbside grocery pickup, or home grocery delivery. That has gone back years before the pandemic.

. Over time you lose. Bear markets consistently don't last very long relative to bull markets. Timing the market is betting against the house.

I suck at picking individual stocks. Even when I pick winners I hold on to them for too long so once again my timing ends up negating my gains. Mutual funds have always worked best for me. Let the pros pick stocks and time the market.

I recently retired so I'm no longer in a position to fund my 401k. Kinda scary actually and we're in scary times for the reasons you mentioned. I'm bewildered about what to do. Wife got lucky with timing but what now? I enrolled with Shwab Private Client so I'll let the pros guide me. Anything I do on my own is sure to be WRONG.

Your stupidity is terminal. Can’t be fixed.

If the folks that presented all the infection control classes I attended over the years are wrong, then they're the stupid ones or they purposely spewed false information. Must've been a decades long conspiracy. Stupid me for believing them rather than someone who graduated with an esteemed degree from Notre Dame only to work in retail.

I laughed out loud. Then I thought of the "many hundreds" and laughed again....
