Should have been smarter.

She should have had more class, and used her public voice to support these kids who saw their cohorts gunned down in front of their eyes. Instead, she sucked at the devil's dick and now she gets to pay for that.

Good.

:0) You support the biggest blowhard clown in the WH in American history. An immature buffoonish asshole of a man who is hated all over the planet .. and you're defending a crude and vile right-wing pundit who should have taken her own advice to LeBron James and just shut the fuck up before she ran her mouth and chased her sponsors away.

Now that your blowhard chickenshit heroes who attack everybody are getting their asses handed to them, suddenly you're looking for 'class.'

That's funny.

Way off topic. We're speaking specifically of the Hogg man child. We all are already familiar with the vast array and selection of 'hate Trump' threads available.

You running away from the truth doesn't make it any less truth because you're afraid of it.

Respectfully, your hypocrisy on this is truly laughable.

Ingraham and Trump .. not an ounce of class between them.

Which we all know that David and his fellow classmates did. Along with frantic texts to their moms and dads... for some, the very last "I love you" they ever sent.

But a week later -- what would you do then? Would you sit around passively accepting "thoughts and prayers," or would your inner warrior (assuming you have one) arise and go to battle to make sure that no other mom/kids/families ever had to go through what you did?

I'd be David.

I don't want to repeat everything I've already said. I'll make it simple and sum it up.
Bottom line: It's not about WHAT he believes or his right to VOCALIZE those thoughts, remedies and solutions. It's HOW he's been doing it, his behavior, his snotty attitude, his rudeness to those in real power who have reached out to him with invitations to have mature coherent conversions about his ideas and concerns only to have those invitations declined or mocked.

You would actually be surprised at how substantial parts of many rightwinger's lives revolve around lingering resentment, revenge fantasies, schadenfreude, and abiding bitterness. The amount of hours, days, and weeks devoted to lasting grudges displayed on cable TV, rightwing blogs, message boards, and the greater wingutosphere simply defies reason!

You would be surprised how many hours I spend slaving away at work for my paycheck, only to have a huge chunk of it redistributed to lefties. Yes, I went back and drudged up lefty threads after Trump won, so I could taunt lefties, and yes, it was fun.

Being a victim does confer a knowledge and an experience that others do not know. Do you know when an event happens, we talk to the people who were there and experienced it? We ask them what it was like and how they felt. We put great faith in the witnesses., Unless we have a countering agenda, like you do. And you attack a kid who was in a tragic school shooting because he does not say what you want.

Being a victim doesn't confer any knowledge. What it does is give you an emotional reaction that can cloud your judgement. Just because he "was in a tragic school shooting" doesn't mean that he understands the issues involved. All it really means is that he has an emotional response that clouds his thinking, just like it clouds yours. You and he are both looking for simple and immediate solutions to a complex problem, so you attach to the simple, obvious, and wrong solution of gun control.

I haven't even a typed a SINGLE comment regarding Ingraham...I might be the only one hear who HASN'T. I've been speaking my own views.

And, what the heck truth am I "running away from"? Sounds very dramatic whatever it is.

It doesn't matter that you haven't mentioned her name. You haven't mentioned her because you're running from the truth of the classless cowards that you support.

Obviously you think it's OK to talk about Hogg in a vacuum without ever looking at your own side in this discussion. That's not how it works.

Ah. I see. His attitude annoys and angers you. His message scares you and millions of your ilk as well.

There was this other guy, long time ago. His attitude annoyed a lot of ppl too. He even spent some time in jail for his attitude and his speech that was offensive to the powers-that-be of that time. He energized thousands, and then millions, of ppl to march and to work for changes in his society at the time. Unfortunately he was ended by a bullet to the head. But his voice lives on and it always will. He died in April 1968, 50 years ago. Martin Luther King Jr. was his name.

There was another irritating guy, who lived even longer ago, who Dr. King modeled *his* voice after. He too was outspoken against the authorities of that time, and was found to be offensive and traitorous and was executed on this day (according to myth anyways), 2000+ years ago.

I'm not saying that David Hoog is MLK or Jesus Christ. I *am* saying, however, that he's being treated by your Klan the same way the other two good men were in their time.

Hahahaha... you so funny. Before we retired, our annual tax bill was about the same as the average income in the U.S. Weirdly enough though, the only thing we "whine" about was how much of that was going to fund bullshit stuff like military jets, bombs, and military crap we don't need. If a similar amount went to fund social welfare programs like SS, Medicare, SS disability, SNAP, Medicaid, etc. -- that was okay by us. But it didn't. The majority went to the defense budget.

You're complicating this more than is necessary.
Why should I comment on Ingraham if I don't have anything new to add to the discussion? She screwed up on the air, she apologized (forced or otherwise), the man child still has his boxers in a bunch, the soap opera continues.

Don't know what the heck you're speaking of regarding "looking at your own side in this discussion". That's all I've been DOING...offering MY own side of the discussion. You're free to not like MY view, enjoy yourself, be happy with your choice. ;)

What was wrong about what she said?

Had Hogg now been inoculated from any criticism ever? Is there anything you would criticize him for or is he your new messiah?

What a crap post. Yeah, he can never ever be criticized the rest of his life. That is what we said. And of course he is our messiah, whatever that means to your bent brain. WTF. You guys deflect so badly and lamely.

lmbo! Quite a segue there. You don't even comprehend all that I've written on this man child. Let him stay in school, take some time to grieve (as his mother said that he should and she's worried), get a job, work on his people skills, educate himself more on the facts of the matter and continue to press for change.

It's not that deep. It's called reality and growing up. Why would I be afraid of his message? Hogg himself said that he's not in favor of taking away citizens' guns. He's got to work on his HOW, not his WHAT.

MLK was never a foul-mouthed antagonistic punk. He was a peaceful, thoughtful, powerful, knowledgeable, well-versed leader and true hero of our time.

We need serious updating to our military equipment.
No complaints here...got a decent little raise in my S.S. check.

You must be about my age. In the 50s/60s, MLK Jr was considered to be a "foul-mouthed antagonistic punk" to the establishment. You don't remember how much he was hated by the establishment, until he was assassinated and suddenly became a martyr?

Yep. The agitators need to (go back to school/sit down at the back of the bus/shut up and be thankful for being in this country/don't use that language that offends me/stop marching/quit being so angry and ungrateful/etc.).

In other words, they should behave exactly the opposite of those guys circa 1776 did.

I'm 66......guess I just remember how much my mom, dad & I enjoyed his remarks, interviews and speeches.

Very close to the same age as I am. We also enjoyed his speeches. I guess you didn't see how much they were *not* enjoyed by the establishment, eh?

Here is a good one from MLK. He is talking about the conservative hero Barry Goldwater, but if you think about it these same words are strikingly prescient and apply also to Donald J. Drumpf.

“It was both unfortunate and disastrous that the Republican Party nominated Barry Goldwater as its candidate for President of the United States. In foreign policy Mr. Goldwater advocates a narrow nationalism , a crippling isolationism and a trigger-happy attitude that could plunge the whole world into the dark abyss of annihilation. The Republican Party geared its appeal and program to racism, reaction, and extremism...On the urgent issue of civil rights, Senator Goldwater represents a philosophy that is morally indefensible and socially suicidal. While not himself a racist, Mr. Goldwater articulates a philosophy which gives aid and comfort to the racist. His candidacy and philosophy would serve as an umbrella under which extremists of all stripes would stand. In the light of these facts and because of my love for America, I have no alternative but to urge every Negro and white person of goodwill to vote against Mr. Goldwater and to withdraw support from any Republican candidate that does not publicly disassociate himself from Senator Goldwater and his philosophy.”

-Martin Luther King July 1964

I was kind of a peacenik back then from '65 to '71. I'd go to Peacock park in Coconut Grove a lot for gatherings for peace with my fellow flower-haired friends. We read newspapers then more than watching TV news. We knew what was going on, we understood how blacks were being treated and MLK's influence and efforts and all the bigotry still around.
