Your voters are dying and the young now hate you

Older voters have been trending Republican in recent elections. In 2012, Mitt Romney won the over-65 vote by 12 points, his largest margin among any age group; in 2008, John McCain won them by 8, the only age group he won. Old people are also much more likely to vote than younger voters: In 2012, they were 13 percent of the population but 16 percent of voters. (These figures are taken from exit polls and the Census; according to some proprietary data, the 2012 electorate actually skewed even older than the exit polls claimed.)
Millennials’ turnout in 2012 was just 46 percent of those eligible, while the turnout rate for Baby Boomers, born between 1946 and 1964, was 69 percent, according to Pew. Older people's propensity to vote is particularly pronounced in midterm elections, when the youth vote falls off: In 2014, 22 percent of voters were over 65. The 2016 election is likely to be the last presidential contest in which a majority of voters belong to the Boomers or prior generations.

That's because unlike most people, you didn't acquire wisdom with age. I used to be a liberal btw.

A lot of these kids that you worship will reject many of the of the odious parts of liberalism as they get away from their liberal teachers and gain wisdom from living in the real world.

The Dems are also hoping voters from Mexico will help them in future elections. That's why building the wall is so important to America's future.

"Wisdom" is voting for shit like Donald Trump???

That's truly stupid .. and only the stupid fell for it.

Wisdom is definitely not voting for HRC. Many Trump voters didn't want him to be the Republican nominee, as evidenced by the fact that he rarely got over 50% of the vote in the primary. There were simply too many other candidates and Republicans couldn't coalesce around one of the others. FWIW I didn't vote for Trump in the primary. But he was a far better choice in the general than gun grabbing, crooked Hillary.

Wisdom certainly was voting for Hillary, who had the right education, Secty of State expereince, Senatorial experience and a lifetime of trying to help people. The other side was a reality show host with 6 bankruptcies.

That is the standard hope of the George Bush-worshipping, Donald Trump-loving rightwinger, isn't it?: that as they get older, voters will change their registration to the Republican party.

That is not the way in works. Labels, and party affiliation on a voter registration form are ephemeral, transient, and meaningless.

What matters is ideology, principles, and social consensus. Not party labels.

Over the broad arc of time, progressivism and liberalism are always making progress...incremental progress.

What was once considered "liberal" or even "radical", will ultimately be considered conventional, even traditional. People who would have been considered liberal in 1955, might look conservative today. It is not that people change as they age....it is that society around them changes, our social norms change, as they get older. It was only about ten years ago that the Republican Party at large and social conservatives were up in arms about gay marriage or legal marijuana.

Barely anyone on here even posts faux outrage about gay marriage or legal marijuana anymore. And yet, old timers on the board can remember when these were key issues for conservatives. Is was only ten or fifteen years ago that Republicans were feverishly working to ban gay marriage at the state level, through ballot proposition.

But, now were are all pretty much "liberal" on these bell weather social issues, eh?

What were her accomplishments as Secretary of State and Senator? She spent a life time trying to amass power. And I vote based on what policies I believe a candidate will advance. Hillary's policies run anathema to what I want to see enacted.
