It's reasonable. They were just leaving for a little while and planned on returning to the party, hence the reason she left her purse and belongings behind.

I find it funny that you have this new found aversion to speculation. People speculate all the time. All of a sudden you are baffled to come up with any reasons why Kennedy wouldn't use his chauffeur?

Why wouldn't he just have his chauffeur take her and not put himself in any compromising position being a high powered Senator? Don't you think that would have been a sensible thing to do? Why have a chauffeur with you if you aren't going to use him?

Why wasn't Kennedy ever asked any of these questions?

Why is there record of Kennedy making 17 phone calls between the time of the accident and when he "confessed" using his credit card yet he was so confused he couldn't think to call the cops?
