What the United States Attorney is looking for and why?

https://www.cnn.com/2018/04/11/politics/access-hollywood-trump-lawyer-communications/index.html

So it comes out that the United States Attorney for Manhattan was looking for communications between Trump and Cohen regarding efforts to stop the release of the Access Hollywood tape.

What this means?

1) The Attorney Client privilege does not include discussions with attorneys regarding future crimes. This, I suspect, is what they were looking for, and why it was okay to go after A/C communications.

2) my question now is... what Infomation did they have that was strong enough to convince a judge to grant a warrant for a raid looking for communications with the President of the United Stated and his attorney and where did they get it?

They have something strong suggesting Trump and Cohen were planning to commit a crime regarding covering up the Access Hollywood tape.

Tell me what why was broken by trying to cover up a Hollywood tape

Mueller did the exact right thing . He passed evidence of the crime off to the appropriate prosecutor in the appropriate district.

Mueller is rock solid.

Yup he is so Rick soild

The Wrong Man
In the fall of 2001, a nation reeling from the horror of 9/11 was rocked by a series of deadly anthrax attacks. As the pressure to find a culprit mounted, the FBI, abetted by the media, found one. The wrong one. This is the story of how federal authorities blew the biggest anti-terror investigation of the past decade—and nearly destroyed an innocent man. Here, for the first time, the falsely accused, Dr. Steven J. Hatfill, speaks out about his ordeal.

I do not know if Trump is involved at all here with this. Yet.

From the CNN article, the warrant allowed them to search for communications between Trump and Cohen with regards to the access Hollywood video. For a judge to allow that, there must be some evidence of discussion between Trump and Cohen that is not covered under the attorney-client privilege and is evidence of a crime.

This was not a FISA warrant, it will soon be public, a judge will have to stand by it... apparently a Trump appointed judge.

It may not be the smoking gun of information you are hoping it to be. Warrants are generally not particularly informative as far as facts.

What 'crime' would that be counselor ?

The application for the warrant would be... and it will become public when the investigation is over.

Wow. Mueller must really be failing at the Russian collusion thing.

If this is all you have forget about it.

Let me go on record as saying it would be expected that Trump would try to stop the release of the tape. So the fuck what douche bag?

1) nobody said it’s all they got.

2) the question is not if he tried to stop the tape, it is if he tried to do something criminal in his effort to stop the tape.

Years from now, maybe, possibly. The federal courts are split on this and New York dodged the question. The application could also have something as generic as, "According to a confidential informant with whom the investigator has worked in the past who has previously provided accurate information whom the investigator finds highly credible..."

No, they need to present probable cause of a crime.

Thats what I mean by 'reasonable proof', probable cause that a crime was committed....and EXACTLY what crime are we talking about.....

Don't tell me you can go to a judge and get a warrant that some unnamed crime might have been committed .... probably cause implys you know what the fuck crime you're
claiming was committed.....

crazy.....its like saying there was noise suspected to be a gunshot in this neighborhood so the cops have probably cause to search every home in said neighborhood for guns.....

It’s hard for me to imagine anything else that would’ve been strong enough to get that warrant, But how in the world would Mueller have seen that?

something as simple as one of his cronies who turned overheard the call
