Good Mom with a gun.

Completely the point.

If someone steals your car because you left it unlocked, or you left the keys in it, you have a certain level of legal liability for what happens if someone steals your car and commits a crime with it. At the very least, your insurance premiums increase because of accountability. No such accountability exists for guns, which is why calling yourself a "responsible gun owner" is bullshit because there's nothing responsible about owning a gun.

You're increasing the supply of guns for criminals to steal when you bring a gun into your home; so that's an act of negligence.

Stop the presses! A liberal is making a car / gun analogy
Also, how is keeping a gun in your locked house analogous to leaving the keys in an unlocked car?
I just can't get past your stupidity in blaming criminal behavior on crime victims. Your illogical arguments don't make sense to anyone but you and your fellow derpshits.

I'm no pussy, I don't have to hide behind a gun to feel tough. That's what you do, wimp.

And yes, I want to get rid of the 2nd Amendment because idiots like you think it means you can stock up guns that criminals will inevitably steal.

So you're saying all guns get stolen? Or even more than half?

Did you read it?
of course, dumbass. I posted the link. lol

Now, let's walk through this together:

Your idiot claim is that gun violence stems from law abiding gun owners.

First of all, when you make a claim like this, you're implying that ALL sources of illegal firearms stem from the homes of lawful gun owners.

Now, I realize that you're a constitution hating sociopath, but that doesn't excuse your shitty comprehension skills.

ALL illegal firearms do not stem from the homes of lawful gun owners. As a matter of fact, the percentage of firearms stolen from lawful gun owners, isn't even close to what the primary sources are. So can you channel your idiot focus back on the article and tell me what that percentage actually is?

How do you know that? How do you know I didn't grow up with a father who was way into guns, who took me hunting and target shooting? Oh right, you don't because you just make assumptions of people in order for your ego to be coddled and babied.

Blech.

Get over yourself.
lol.

Yeah, I'm sure you had a father who was WAY into guns, who took you hunting and target shooting... once. lol

All it took was you sulking like the little communist pussy you are, and your father beating himself over where he and your mother went wrong.

Poor dad.

I want to get rid of the second amendment because babies like you have been using it to inflate your own egos while putting everyone else at risk.
You want to get rid of something that you will never be able to get rid off. Doesn't that make you feel like a useless piece of shit?

I know it makes you look like one. ;)

You have to read something before you can understand it.
Sage advice for a dumbass like you.

You haven't read the Constitution ever, have you?
From start to finish? Never. It's too boring. But I have read and used excerpts of it in case studies and debates. How about you, dumbass? Have you read the Constitution, or need I even ask?

Be honest. I can tell when you're lying.
Sure you can, pussy. You can't even tell when you're lying. ;)

No. That isn't how the law works. Stop making up shit about the law. And thieves don't need permission to break into your home and steal your guns while you're not there.

What secrets?

If I give you permission, the law isn't involved. Are you coming to try and take what I've given you permission to try and take or are you going to be a coward in the same mold as domer, Nomad, Nordberg, Bourbon, LeontheCat?

So you're saying all guns get stolen? Or even more than half?

He's making up numbers. He's posted different numbers when claiming how many.

Typical anti gunner. Arguments based on feelings not logic.

It's 230,000 one post and 190,000 the other.

He's not an anti gunner. He's been offered the challenge of trying to take what he says people shouldn't own. A true anti gunner would actually try. A coward refuses to do so.

Even if his higher number is accurate, less than 1 in 1000 guns get stolen, yet he claims people's guns will inevitably be stolen. :palm:

It's not, really. But you're the ones who wanted to argue the track of "why are you going after the victims?" I'm not. I'm going after the gun owners who supplied criminals with the guns.

I just can't get past your stupidity in blaming criminal behavior on crime victims. Your illogical arguments don't make sense to anyone but you and your fellow derpshits.

No, not crime victims, just gun owners. And the reason gun owners are different from other victims is because the gun owners acted with negligence simply by bringing a gun into their homes, increasing the supply of guns for criminals to steal.

So you're saying all guns get stolen? Or even more than half?

Not even that many. But it doesn't matter. Even one stolen gun is one too many, and is intolerable.

of course, dumbass. I posted the link. lolNow, let's walk through this together:Your idiot claim is that gun violence stems from law abiding gun owners.

Which it does:

Law-abiding gun owners sell their guns via straw purchases to shady people. That's one way guns end up in the hands of criminals. The other ways, as you pointed out, all seem to have their genesis from "responsible gun owners". Meaning that a gun owner legally purchased a firearm, then sold that firearm to someone shady via straw purchase or "family transfer" or whatever, and then the gun gets used in crimes.

Nearly all guns in the hands of criminals were once legally-purchased guns.

First of all, when you make a claim like this, you're implying that ALL sources of illegal firearms stem from the homes of lawful gun owners.

I never said that. I said most do. Which is true. Even using your shady link, from a one-time ATF agent, belies that the majority of illegal guns were stolen, sold, or transferred to criminals by "responsible gun owners". There are commercial thefts, sure, but those thefts are outnumbered by thefts from homes/cars. Even 10-15% is too much risk. Nice straw man, though.

First of all, your link says that 10-15% of gun crimes are used with stolen guns from people's homes and cars, but that's just the opinion of one ex-ATF agent. But you're not counting the guns that are stolen and then sold via straw purchasers to criminals. That total is absent from your article. So you don't really have a conclusion that's worth forming because your data set is incomplete. Secondly, those totals were estimates by this one guy. And the data isn't sourced in what you linked to, which means I have to take his word for it. And why should I?

In fact, here's what your link says about straw purchasing:

A straw purchase occurs when someone who may not legally acquire a firearm, or who wants to do so anonymously, has a companion buy it on their behalf.

How does one illegally acquire a firearm to sell in a straw purchase? BY STEALING IT, DUH!

So you're trying to say that a criminal armed with a gun they got via straw purchase doesn't count toward the gun theft total, even though in order for the gun to be sold via straw purchase, it was likely acquired illegally (AKA STOLEN).

You want to get rid of something that you will never be able to get rid off.

You say that...but...given trends among the Millennial and post-Millennial generations, all it's going to take is more of these massacres before the young people finally rise up, which is a certainty. They already have started, and have affected change in places like Florida and Massachusetts.

Doesn't that make you feel like a useless piece of shit?

Projection there because without your gun, that's obviously how you feel.

From start to finish? Never. It's too boring.

Well there you have it. You won't read the Constitution because it's "too boring", but you're pretending like your beliefs are supported by the Constitution, which you admit you haven't read.

So thanks for being honest, I guess...

It's 230,000 one post and 190,000 the other.

Dear idiot,

230,000 guns were stolen from 190,000 gun owners.

It means that in some cases, thieves took more than one gun in their thefts. That's because you idiots own multiple guns, so when thieves break in, they take those multiple guns.

Sincerely,

The Derp.

Even if his higher number is accurate, less than 1 in 1000 guns get stolen, yet he claims people's guns will inevitably be stolen

They will be. Because the same 190,000 people aren't stolen from the following year.

1.4 million guns were stolen in a 5 year period between 2005-2010, which means there were probably 1 million gun owners, give or take a few thousand, whose guns were stolen from them.
