I bet there is a statistically relevant correlation between Trumpism and racism. That study would be interesting but it would be hard to construct without internal bias.

Did you get a good look at the crowd at his last campaign speech? Some stuff is too obvious to talk about. But hey, if Rosanne grabs her crotch while she is actually supposed to be singing the Anthem, and Koepernick kneels during the Anthem, guess which one is cool with the Trumpsters. I can offer a theory why.

Oh, it was a stupid thing to say. Especially, for someone who has a lot to lose by saying stupid things.

My point is it isn’t necessarily racist: The Muslim Brotherhood is an Islamist *organization* and Muslim isn’t even a race, so that’s out. And the Planet of the Apes reference wasn’t necessarily a reference to Jarrett’s ethnicity. It could have been about her looks.

Offensive? Absolutely. Stupid? Yes. Racist? Depends on how it’s interpreted.

Her intent isn't the issue. I don't know if she's racist or not. I do know that her slur was certain to open her up to accusations of racism.

IMO any reasonable person should have known the perception such a comparison would create when applied to a Black person.

She has no excuse, and it's time to stop nit-picking in an attempt to mitigate her idiocy.

Is there a double standard? Yes, I think there is.

Is it fair? Life isn't fair.
