https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Postal_Service

Before the Revolution, individuals like Benjamin Franklin and William Goddard were the colonial postmasters who managed the mails then and were the general architects of a postal system that started out as an alternative to the Crown Post.
The official post office was created in 1792 as the Post Office Department (USPOD). It was based on the Constitutional authority empowering Congress "To establish post offices and post roads". The 1792 law provided for a greatly expanded postal network, and served editors by charging newspapers an extremely low rate. The law guaranteed the sanctity of personal correspondence, and provided the entire country with low-cost access to information on public affairs, while establishing a right to personal privacy.[14]

they didn't even expect it to pay for its self

Undeniably a WIN

I would agree to an extent. For one, its a fresh perspective in DC. A representation of the youth in the nation that are tired of being screwed over. It also puts notice to all career politicians that they are not necessarily safe. Pretty sure no one thought she had a chance in the upper echelon of the Dem party (or anyone else for that matter).

That said, if the fresh blood is all pushing hard to the left, that could present a problem in districts that are tight races.

I wonder what her position is on criminal justice reform?

given her position on eliminating ICE and legalization of some drugs... I would think she would have to come down on the side that the system is broken and we need major reforms.

There isn't much to read into this. It's more about the district than national trends.

I disagree. This is yet another shot across the bow of the established elite in the two parties. The people are tired of the career politicians. They want fresh blood, ideas etc... something they will not get from either of the two parties, especially from the career politicians whose only concern is themselves.

Like I said, ignore it or not, change is still coming ....

Sucks to be on the wrong end of it, huh lol?

Fucking extremist idiot.
Keep it up and the Dems will give away the candy store next time.

Only moderation lasts... extremism always demands rebalance.
Your "wins" are about as permanent as Obama's XOs.

Grow up lol

This is true but I think Things point is more that this is just a regional race.

It's going to be fun watching the 'rats in NEW York have to choose between a smokin' hot Latina socialist or whatever tired slouch the NY RINO Party runs against her.

Medicare for All sounds like an eminently reasonable policy prescription, and certainly does not give me an impression of Kenyan-Transgendered-Muslim-Marxism-Socialism run amuck

I actually do not think the world "socialist" is considered to be a disparaging insult anymore. Not in the way wingnuts imagine, anyway.

I think what you will find with message boards, is that the average age of a rightwing poster is, what, around 82? You can tell by the archaic and outdated Cold War rhetoric rightwing posters use. I cannot tell you the number of times I have been called a "commie" or a "Bolshevik" on this board. It sometimes feels like being time-warped back to 1951!

I really do not think the word "socialism" is as derogatory, threatening, and offensive to people under the age of 40, as it is to Depends undergarments-wearing old white dudes patrolling obscure political message boards.

yep the half dead old white demographic

Are The Venezuelian and Cuban people suffering through socialism brain dead whites or do they know from experience what the real results are? Only an ivory tower type on tenure would claim what you do.
