We shall see. Obviously Hollywood has a well earned reputation for blowing historical films. I’m very familiar with Armstrong’s biography and have known two of the people who taught him to fly, one who was my great Uncle (my grandfathers sisters husband) who was a WWII hero himself. So I’ll know what’s S and what’s it.

It's probably about 'The Money'. Most of these films make a lot of Money overseas. I'm not sure foreigners want to see a film that brags about putting a Flag on the Moon like we are Colonizers from the Past and are claiming the Moon for ourselves. I think they intentional left that part out because of the overseas Market. (maybe I'm jaded about the Capitalists in Hollywood?)

No I think your spot on and I think that’s a shame as American nationalism played a major role. Though I agree with with Gosselings assessment on Armstrong’s character I have no doubt he’s wrong in regards to the flag and Armstrong would not have approved.

It is based on the book by James Hansen and he had a advisory role on the film.

Hansen was Armstrong’s personally appointed biographer and I have the book and read it. So that’s good. I still don’t trust Hollywood to not fuck it up.

Neil Armstrong made it a point to say his first words from the moon was the accomplishment was on behalf of humanity. He did not use the word "Americans"
