It is based on the book by James Hansen and he had a advisory role on the film.
Great boiling oceans, the James Hansen?

I didn't like it full stop, apart from Amiee Conn she's a 10!
At least you liberals admit you care more about what the chinese think about the truth than you care what americans think about your lies.
Dude I did not make the movie. It's a multinational corporation, it does what it does to make money. Americans are infuriated though that they're no longer the only real source of money and so aren't exclusively pandered to anymore.
Do you have a job? I'm wondering what kind of work you do. Probably a gas station clerk.
You apparently agree with it or you'd be whining about it like everything else. Own it, libtard.
Can I have a pack of American Spirit in the yellow pack?
It's like making a film about the battle for Iowa Jima ... and leaving out the flag raising.

I don't agree with it, I just think this whiny thread is annoying.
The America hating liberal Left, in an Orwellian rewrite of history, ... intentionally erased America from the moon landing.![]()
They may view it as 'Nationalistic', an American propaganda movie.
Another thing, Chinese companies are partnering with American companies to make movies nowadays, that may have something to do with it?
Foreigners will be offended by accurate history?

Hollywood star Ryan Gosling, who portrays Armstrong in the movie, told The Telegraph the flag was omitted from the moon landing because the achievement of humans walking on the moon "transcended countries and borders."

And no flag?
Sure, like the Alamo was fought to save Texas ranchers from marauding Mexicans.
It was fought to protect the institution of slavery.
But you can believe whatever you want.
Well obviously the movie is meant for more than domestic consumption and given Hollywood’s penchant for completely screwing anything even remotely considered as historical accuracy can you say you are in the least bit surprised?
While, from a perspective of mankind in general, this is a reasonable view, it's totally out of context with respect to making a movie about an historical figure. What a silly justification for a stupid decision. LOL Really. It's so stupid it makes me certain the whole movie will be revisionist bullshit. I'd like the thank the director for saving me the time of wondering if this movie will be worth watching.
Oh I agree and anyone who is expecting a political agenda is niave. It’s probably going to be Hollywood’s typical raping of history for dramatic affect and to appeal to as broad an audience as possible. Ironic in that they usually dumb down historical movies to appeal to conservatives.![]()
Damien Chazelle previously directed La La Land, so that might tell you something. Maybe Armstrong and Aldrin will break into a song and dance, perhaps Fly Me to the Moon? I also read that Clint Eastwood was supposed to direct it originally.
They used IMAX cameras so it can't all be bad, can it?
You don't think movies in general aren't propaganda in one form or another?
