America was only ever moral for a millisecond as a matter of show, "Hey look how much better we are than the Soviets?!" Only took a couple of decades after the SU to collapse for us to start bullying everyone around and shut the door to those refugees we boasted so much about taking during the Cold War. Now we're rolling back civil rights, turns out that too was just a show so that we could not be (justifiably) be criticized by the SU due to a third of our states being governed as white supremacist regimes in which blacks didn't have a vote or civil rights.

I am a lefty and I did not do it. You will have to be more specific because most leftys are surprised by it. Just blame all leftys, that is what you do. Nuance and graduation are not part of your understanding.
