Hello anatta,
Fool's gold. It can't last. And it pretty much only benefits the super-rich.
And it only produces fictitious capital, this bubble will crash too, merely a matter of time.
Hello anatta,
Fool's gold. It can't last. And it pretty much only benefits the super-rich.
We DO NOT have to raise taxes on the rich. Raising taxes should NEVER be the answer. The first option should always be to REDUCE GOVERNMENT SPENDING, not raise taxes.
I worked for a government contractor for 10 years and I can tell you without hesitation that the federal government wastes money like you wouldn't believe. It is the most inefficient, wasteful, bureaucratic entity in the history of government.
Why would you want them to take more money out of the private sector by raising taxes and let it be wasted in the deep, dark hole of bureaucracy? That will solve nothing.
The federal government has to learn to spend within its means rather than punish Americans by raising taxes.
I will NEVER vote for a candidate that pledges to raise taxes for any reason
It's like having a child in college that's spending frivolously and irresponsibly. When he says he needs you to put more money into his checking account, the smart thing to do would be to tell him to rein in his spending, not give him more money. I speak from experience on this.
Hello DonaldvoTrumpovich,
Says the selfish rich who only think of themselves and could not care less if the government debt breaks the government.
Every large organization, whether it is government or private sector, which is attempting to meet a lofty goal involving many unknowns, and requiring many many people coordinated together to accomplish, is going to have significant waste.
The government bureaucracy is a great machine which accomplishes many things which are good for the USA. While doing all this good, another giant factor here is that all of those government workers and contractors are earning paychecks out of all that government spending, and they are using their money to contribute to the economy. Tax money paid to the government is not lost out of the economy. There is no dark hole of no return. There is a great return. Tax money is spent by the government, and generates more economic activity, thus raising the GDP.
Taxes are not meant as punishment. You should be proud to pay your taxes. This makes you a contributing part of America. You are contributing to our nation, doing your part to make America great. Paying your taxes makes America great. You are getting your money's worth by being an American. Somalians pay no taxes and have a very limited government, but I would not recommend moving there. It is far better to be an American. And yes, have to pay taxes. You should be proud of being a tax-paying American.
Perhaps you would be happy to vote for a candidate who pledges to bankrupt the nation. If taxes should always be reduced, why not simply go all the way and make them zero? You can also eat cake and lose weight while you are at it.
No, it is not like that at all. It is far more complex. If there was so much frivolous spending which could easily be cut, why have Republicans been unable to reduce spending? They have the votes. Actually, it's worse than that. They have increased spending. A college kid can make a few rice and bean meals in the dorm, not go out for so many beers. That's easy. Government spending can not be cut without removing a flow of money into the economy. Despite all the promises, Republicans have the votes and can't cut the spending. Because they don't want to crash the economy.
Raising taxes on the rich may slow things down a bit but it won't crash the economy or put as many people out of work.
Raise taxes on the rich. Raise the minimum wage. Hold the line on defense spending.
So, raises taxes and stunt the economy lol?
Do democrats ever have economic proposals that *don’t* involve raising taxes?
Look, like you said, "complex". You've already lost the poster you're responding to.
Hello Darth,
You know, if Republicans would quite putting taxes too low to run the country, Democrats would not have to be responsible and raise them back up again.
I just don’t believe that.
I don’t think taxes would ever be high enough to suit democrats.
Hello Fentoine Lum,
Hey, at least he opposes Trump.
It is really far better to recognize the good side of people than to dwell on their misgivings.
They say what goes around comes around.
Put out bad energy and guess what comes back?
Maybe we all need to try a little harder to put out more good energy.
DonaldvoTrumpovich is an American who cares about the USA, and wants the economy to flourish. Just as we do. We simply disagree on how to best achieve that goal.
Hello Darth,
That's propaganda. You can't cite Democrats who have said that.
Taxes have actually gone down down down since WWII. Now, we've gotten to the point where they are too low. We are not getting enough revenue to keep up with spending.
Good energy better find good money if it expects to go anywhere at all in this system.
No one is going to challenge the war machine/industry or empire.
why do poverty stricken hill billies strive to make the wealthy wealthier?
can someone please answer that one

...’to keep up with spending’ is the key concept lol.
If democrats were in control they will raise taxes before they give us ‘free’ healthcare. Then comes the socialism death spiral.
No thanks.
That's nice. I'm sure they're pleased as punch, as HHH used to say.
Apparently you are unable to list even one regulation (or removal) that has improved business. That's okay though. Our corporate plutocrats want us to continue to believe that as long as we look the other way and leave them alone and don't try to tax them, they'll continue to shower us with largesse.
