When Dr. Ford first indicated that she told NOBODY about the incident...I was taken aback.

My feelings were that she must have told several of her close friends. It is not the kind of thing a young female teenager would keep totally hidden from friends.

I am now thinking that she does not want to put these other parties on the chopping block for the disgusting American right-wing to denigrate and politically abuse.

Under oath, she might have to acknowledge that she did mention the incident contemporaneously to others...and then would have to demure when asked for names.

1) She can testify in public
2) She can testify in private
3) Grassley has offered to fly the Senate Judicial Committee to her in order to meet with her
4) Grassley offered to have a phone call with Ford with Feinstein on the call as well

Four options have been afforded to this woman and she has denied them all

As to the politics of this. I can guarantee this. If she declines to come forward and Kavanaugh is confirmed AND the democrats have a hissy fit and pull some crazy shit like have her do an interview on 60 minutes a week before the election, the democrats will get fucking crushed in the mid terms.

You guys always walk around with these faulty assumptions because you live in a fucking bubble. You can't for one second wrap your brain around the fact that people think differently than you. You live in this binary world where one either believes Ford or they support rape.

Let me break this down for you. No serious person in this country supports rape or sexual assault. Anyone who claims that that is true is not to be taken seriously. 1) Why did she wait until now to come forward?
2) Why if she didn't want to come forward did she voluntarily go to the Washington Post and a democrat lawmaker? What was her goal in going to them if she wanted to be anonymous?
3) Why did her lawyer say she would testify and then retract it?


You are living in this fantasy land of METOO where ALL women vote with their vaginas and are just going to believe this woman no matter what.

Need I remind you of the 2016 election? How many broads did your side trot out trying to take down Trump? I am saying that all she has to do is file a complaint with the local police department in the town of the alleged crime they would investigate. She could have an investigation started TODAY. It doesn't HAVE to be the FBI. What is the FBI going to be able to do that the local police can't?

Also, I don't think she really wants an FBI investigation. I mean wouldn't they want to investigate her motive and ask for all of her electronic communications from July 2018 forward? I would love to see them

The only thing the FBI could do would be a 7th background check on Kav.
FBI background checks only go back as far as a person's age of 18 which is meaningless in this case.

They haven't played me at all. Both sides do the same thing. I've been on record here saying that Kav will likely be confirmed, and frankly, unless something more compelling comes out on this, I think he should be. If Kav doesn't get confirmed, chances are someone as or more conservative will be ultimately. This isn't really a battle they should waste time on.

Outside of simply letting the process of this accusation play out. I'm not saying that if he's guilty, he should slide through. But there isn't enough there right now, without corroborating witnesses or other evidence, to create more than a he said/she said.
