PRICELESS!

I never said it wasn't a stimulus...what I said is it isn't sugar. You brought up the markets and you were wrong to do so.

Do you know why I don't often participate in threads about economics on this board? I'm too fucking busy laughing at all of you.

It absolutely does have the sugar effect. It is an artificial high for the economy. Which is why Obama was so reluctant to stop it. It absolutely has to do with the markets as well.

You clearly don't participate because you don't have a clue about economics.

The markets aren't the only thing that matters. Cash flow matters too.

In today's world the stock market isn't that rational. Cash flow used to be a valuation technique. Now it is speculative future revenue that ramps things up. Why do you think tech companies can have massive multiples and high yields yet show no profits?

QE was most certainly the sugar rush JarredHead claims Trump is doing with tax cuts. But we all know he is a moron and a shitty lawyer.

I understand that cash flow matters, but you are 100% wrong in stating that QE isn't a stimulus for the economy. You are 100% wrong to state it isn't like an individual going on a sugar rush.

QE was an ATTEMPTED stimulus. But as we have discovered, it did little to save Obamunsim and the malaise it brought, and only ramped up a massive amount of US debt.

It was stimulus. It just wasn't a very effective method. Without it, the markets would have been worse. But had that money been used in a more efficient manner, it could absolutely have been better.

I agree; it was a highly ineffective method. I am not sure I agree with the experts that it would have been worse. I think by allowing the worse, you fix what is broken. :shrugs:

Hey, anyone else notice that JarredHead ran off again!

Just like the last Republican President I have a bad feeling Trump is setting us up for another Great Republican Recession.

And this one we will have less flexibility to respond to, because Trump willfully and recklessly ran up trillion dollar deficits.

Let's hope this orange colored dim wit doesn't destroy the Obama economic recovery. But modern history shows that Republicans are generally terrible for the economy.
Not reckless at all. It has been the plan since Reagan. it may have arisen out of the 30s with rich people reactions to FDR instituting programs that helped the people. When the plot to overthrow FDR failed, they went underground. The plan is to create so much debt that we cannot keep the programs that help the people. We can only afford more tax cuts and a bigger military. They don't hide it. Ryan said it clearly many times. Create an enormous debt and end welfare, foodstamps, Medicare and medicaid.

STANDING OVATION!

They convinced white America mostly Blacks receive these benefits.

Good insights? The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln. So at its inception she would have supported the Democrats who wanted to keep slavery going? During the short period of reconstruction when blacks could vote and won office as Republicans she still would have been a Democrat?

One can vote and support whomever they like today but that's just basic history.

I judge Republicans by what I see them saying and doing today. Not based on what some dude said 160 years ago.

"Party of Lincoln" is a slogan. Words, deeds and actions today matter more to me than empty slogams.

You know what I see republicans doing today - indeed doing on this very board? Calling black posters N*ggers, posting as many threads as possible that paint black people in the worst light possible, and I see their fellow members in the conservative movement standing by in silence, watching as these degenerate racists run amok.

I see modern conservatives doing everything in their power to weaken the Voting Rights act, suppress the votes of blacks, demonizing brown people, and engaging in the worst kind of white nationalism and xenophobia I have witnessed in my adult life.

Read some history my friend because blacks voted and ran as republicans during reconstruction. That's fact and that's what I pointed out

That would be one poster; would you be okay if we painted ALL liberals as being like Maxine Waters? Fair is Fair right?

Yet, none of those things are true so you must be influenced by lies and innuendo. Let's be honest here, you are a partisan hack who has no desire for the truth, facts or reality.

Republicans like to say that blacks only vote for Democrats "to get free stuff"....which is actually their inner racist coming out in the light of day.

This.

So many people here say that very thing. Then in the next sentence they complain about being called racists. It's hard to figure how anybody could be that dense.

What's funny is liberals say white people vote against their economic interest voting republican. What does that really mean? Democrats would give them more government programs I.e. More free stuff. Would you consider that racist?

gawd you're dumb!

I would be willing to say that almost every single prominent conservative who has been on this board has - at some point - made the statement that blacks only vote Democratic "to get free stuff". As if blacks are children, and too incompetent to be trusted to use good judgment to vote.
There could not be a clearer telegraph of their inner racist than that.

You'd be wrong. Blacks, like Asians, whites and Hispanics can vote however they choose. We are all individuals. I'm not in any way defending racism from people on the right but there is an echo chamber from the left that thinks you immune from your own racial biases and racism. It may not be in the form of using the n word but it manifests itself in other ways

For me an example of voting against your economic interest would be farmers supporting trump and getting burned in his trade wars. Coal miners supporting trump because he going to bring back "beautiful clean coal", an oxymoron if ever there was one, yet the industry is still in decline. Steelworkers supporting trump and then he imposes tariffs on steel and aluminum. Same with auto workers or people working in manufacturing. trump has no clue about a global economy. He told people what they wanted to hear and they accepted it unquestioningly.

What "free stuff" would the above be getting from Democrats? If they lose their jobs as a result of trump policies then they should get unemployment benefits. If god forbid it takes a long time to get another good-paying job then these people may have to depend on food stamps or other aid. It doesn't mean they're lazy or entitled. But that's what republicans seem to think when they talk about "free stuff."
