Invaders from South Will be Met by US Troops Sent by Trump

not sure how this works out. I think the idea is to block them before they get to the border to claim "asylum" ( they are being coached on what to say as always)..Trump claims national security and do it I suppose

They aren't eligible for asylum.

Notwithstanding claims to the contrary, undocumented aliens do not have a "right" to apply for asylum in the United States. Asylum is a discretionary form of relief.

The asylum provision in the Immigration and Nationality Act just states that eligible aliens “may” be granted asylum.

The United States is a signatory to the UN’s Convention and Protocol Relating to the Status of Refugees. This means that it cannot return or expel “a refugee in any manner whatsoever to the frontiers of territories where his life or freedom would be threatened on account of his race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion.”

It does not mean that people who "want a job" or "fear gang violence" are eligible.

Something else to keep in mind when it comes to the credibility—or lack of credibility—of many asylum claims is that many aliens pass through countries with their own asylum laws on their way here—including Mexico.

Did you complain when Obama sent the NG to the border?

Probably not, Obama didn't do under the bogus premise of "national emergency," nor demogogue the circumstances surrounding it.

You know a conservative is done when the Obama or Hillary "whataboutism" surfaces

They stall 'em when they get here, cake walk applications, certainly nothing that one needs 2800 troops to accomplish

Is that what Obama did?

BTW, the troops are being sent to relieve CBP personnel so they can attend to border enforcement duties, anchovies, as you'd know if you read the posts in this thread. Are the big words confusing you?

Is that so? Cite the language Obama used when he sent the NG to the border.

I'll understand if you have to look it up and get someone who's functionally literate to explain what the big words mean.

This is a repeat rebutal from the "legion," been there, done that, gets tiresome having to correct his inaccuracies over and over

Could you have seen that one coming or what, "cite the language," beautiful, here is a guy who posts unsourced material and erroneous documentation, and now he is asking for the exact terminology on one of his own "whataboutisms" Too funny

So you have no idea what Obama said when he sent the NG to the border, as I suspected.

What alleged unsourced material and erroneous documentation," have I posted, anchovies?

You made a claim and cannot back it up.

Here's what you stated:

Probably not, Obama didn't do under the bogus premise of "national emergency," nor demogogue the circumstances surrounding it.

Can you provide any information to substantiate your claim, or not?

Not all of the illegals will 'present themselves at a portal'.

Imner Anthony Fuentes, 29, had been deported five months ago from Birmingham, Ala. He was used to the back-and-forth: He said he had been deported six times. “That’s just how it is,” Fuentes said. “They catch you, and you try to get back.”

Juan Jimenez, 32, said he was deported back to Honduras six months ago from Phoenix, where he worked for a wood-flooring business.

Evin Mata, 21, said he was deported three months ago from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

“We believe there are at least 5,600 now, and we expect more to join us,” said Rodrigo Aveja, one of the group’s organizers.

The deportees and returnees were clear about their intentions to cross the border illegally, hoping to slip between patrol officers.

“It’s the only way,” said Nestor Reyes, 34.

They described how they were deported — traffic tickets that led to detention, workplace raids, expired visas.

You can tell "legion" has never been in the service They are active National Guard, not RA, for the President to send the Army anywhere domestically is a constitutional boondoggle. Now I hope I don't have to explain to him what an active duty Natioanl Guard is and what is their role in the military

Active Duty vs. Reserve or National Guard

What is the difference between someone who is active duty military and someone who is in the Reserve or National Guard?

A person who is active duty is in the military full time. They work for the military full time, may live on a military base, and can be deployed at any time. Persons in the Reserve or National Guard are not full-time active duty military personnel, although they can be deployed at any time should the need arise.

I know.
They know as well all they need to do is claim and get released for a court date which I think only 3% show up for.
it's a ticket to entry .

They stall 'em when they get here, cake walk applications, certainly nothing that one needs 2800 troops to accomplish
that would be true but because there are 640 BORDER APPREHENSIONS A DAY. there is a yuge backlog-
so they get released.

I seriously wonder if you Dems get the fact that the border is overwhelmed, and a wall is needed.

I'm sure you don't, or you go into 'da resistance' mindset and block legislation -even though it hurts the country
to have all these undocumented, unskilled -possible disease carriers, possible gangs, etc.

But you all don't give a damn about that

It's called blowback. US intervention in that part of the world goes back a good ways and this has been going on for 15 years now. It’ll continue to unless our drug policies change and we stop meddling in South/Latin America. We’ve just never had a president that picked on them before, our co-conspiratored victims. Go back to 2009; dig into US support for the overthrow/intervention that led to the conditions that set up these migrations. The US militarily supports 3/4s of the world’s military dictatorships. All part of the Pan European Capitalist Colonization Project. Some folks got the idea that they would be exempt somehow. Nationalism. That did have its day, hence the current nostalgia pitch.

The Project went global, your borders were dismantled by your militarist economic system.
