Controlled Opposition

Syrian Kurds.
Excuses. Most Americans have never heard of the Kurds and know even less about them. Our presence is Syria is not necessary.
Syrian Kurds.
Good product too.
This is a stunt.. Its premature.
UK rejects Trump's claim that ISIS is defeated in Syria: 'The threat is very much alive'.
Trump orders US troops out of Syria, declares victory over ISIS; senators slam action as mistake.
Not really! It's the Devil's drug! Well, you know what I mean!

We all have opinions.
Do you have an exit strategy?
When the Assad Government (with Russia and Iran as being Signatories) signs an Agreement with Rojava (the Northern Federation) recognizing their autonomous region as being a part of a Federated Syria (something along the lines of 'Iraqi Kurdistan' in their autonomous relationship with Iraq).
"The Democratic Federation of Northern Syria (DFNS), formerly and still commonly known as Rojava, is a de facto autonomous region in northern Syria. It consists of three self-governing regions:[5] Afrin Region, Jazira Region, and Euphrates Region.[6] The region gained its de facto autonomy in 2012[7] as part of the ongoing Rojava conflict and the wider Syrian Civil War. While entertaining some foreign relations, the DFNS is not officially recognized as autonomous by the government of Syria or any international state or organization.[8][9]"

Do you have an exit strategy?
Thanks for that, but the question is whether or not you have an exit strategy.
All of those "terrorist" organizations are state proxy forces. We could stop cutting checks. The regional strategy is to break up the region. It's been going on for at least a century.
given the number of times that isis has attacked the United States the only exit strategy is when they are all dead and right now they are resurgent and growing
the military doesn't make decisions of what missions we support or not.Sorry, but the military is not going to agree with you on that!
We actually appreciate our allies, and would never hang them out to dry!
We may make some changes in our Syrian and Middle East involvement, but we'll still be in the picture, stay tuned.

I'm not surprised though that generals want in. same with the old Bush national security team and the neocons/libs
It's always just easier to stay- which is why we are all over the world. Sometime it for alliances.
But there is no reason to be in Syria now. ISIS is degraded into an insurgency. They are no longer a state.
AfPak is more difficult to call, but the fact we've been there 17 years with nothing to show for nationbuilding says a lot about that mission's futility
US-led coalition admits 1,100+ civilians killed in Iraq & Syria in latest death toll
The US-led coalition has published the latest casualty figures for its airstrikes in Iraq and Syria since the start of Operation Inherent Resolve in 2014. At least 1,139 civilians have been “unintentionally” killed by coalition strikes, the statement said. The death toll, presented monthly by the US, has been repeatedly challenged by Amnesty International. The group says that the coalition was “deeply in denial” about the “large number of civilians killed and injured by [its] strikes.”
