The Godless left showing their tolerance!

My kind of Christian would never do anything to a mosque, or synagogue! I am sure it happens, are you saying that makes it ok? I would be against it!

How come your kind of christian thinks its okay to come on public chat boards and spread lies and hate? Your every bit as bad as Taliban and jihad extremists. If you had any balls you'd act on your hate like your braver comrades do. C'mon your god is counting on you!

The only lie any Christian has ever told you is that Jesus loves you. See Psalm 5:5 for the truth.

On other point, I agree, most Christians are cowards, which is why they lie to you and tell you that Jesus loves you. They're afraid of you judging them.

Thank you. I have an interest in organized religions. It’s really amazing how even with their differences it’s the same.

It just amazes me that even within Christianity there's all this division, as a Baptist I thought Catholics were crazy because they put so much emphasis on Mary, the heigherarchy of the preists, confession, etc. All I had to do was accept Jesus into my heart. That's it. There's stuff about repenting, but technically being "saved" is the only requirement.

But even within Protestants, there's Baptists, Seventh Day Adventist, Methodists, etc. Isn't the common belief in Jesus as a Messiah enough for people? Apparently not. Apparently the Bible is a big enough clusterfuck of contradictions that nobody can seem to agree.

You think the Bible is big enough to explain the Catholic emphasis on Mary? The one and only time someone told Jesus blessed is his mother, that person was rebuked by the Lord. Conflicts between Christians aren't about what the Bible says, but with what people want to impose on the Bible.

"There is stuff about repenting." Stuff? Yes, repent else you will parish. Most Christians don't want to repent, and therefor they will parish.

I think you mean perish there, chief. And everyone perishes. Repenting is important, but it's not like Catholicism where you have to confess your sins like itemizing your taxes. Repenting is almost never concrete, it just means you realize you're a piece of shit in God's eyes and you try to be better. If you fail, and still feel guilty, you're gravy. Ain't religion just peachy?

In the NT it is the Davidic lineage that is followed, not from Ezra. Matthew, in Matthew 1: 1-17 refers to the geneology of Jesus through the lineage of Joseph, and through Davids son Solomon. Luke follows Jesus lineage through Mary, Luke 3: 25-38, by Davids son Nathan. Both lines serve the purpose of satisfying prophecy for the Davidic requirement. Matthew starts with Abraham, while Luke begins with Adam. The lists are identical between Abraham and David, but differ radically from that point. Point being, until David ones lineage was determined by the fathers lineage. Why you are fixated on Ezra is beyond me.

I think you are talking about a different subject.. Jewish men often had foreign wives up to Ezra and their children were Jewish...

Vandalism of your church would probably be OK.

Two things, you can't answer a direct question and I doubt you have to guts to do any at my church.

As usual, a gutless coward that was raised by a gutless coward that was raised by a gutless coward . . . and so on.

Nope.. Look at Abraham and Keturah, Moses and Zipporah, Boaz and Ruth.. Solomon and David both had many foreign wives. When they returned from the exile in Babylon Ezra told them to divorce their foreign wives and abandon the children of those unions.. Some refused and that began a diaspora.

Try Ezra 10:44.

If you want to dispute what every Jew would tell you...dispute it.

That simply is divorcing yourself from reality, though.

The child of a Jewish mother is a Jew. In fact, that is what defines a Jew.

Just go by what the Bible says.. Ruth was a Moabite.. Ruth and Boaz were the parents of Obed who begat Jessie who begat David.

Read Ezra 10.. Until after the Babylonian exile Jewishness was NOT matrilineal.

Yes, I found the source, I was trying to get him to source it. He seems to be avoiding me, intentional? Was he trying to pass this off as his own?

I simply forgot to copy and paste the link! This is the first I have been on since yesterday at 2:30 I have a job and a life.

No, Cindy, they're not on your side.

A. They demonstrate miracles to be impossible.
B. They demonstrate the Great Flood of the bible to be impossible.
C. They indicate that a perpetual Big Bang/Cycle is very possible.

Please don't talk about things you clearly don't (and can't) understand.

So wrong on every count! But you know that don't you?

Jesus was a Jew. He was born of a Jewish mother, in Galilee, a Jewish part of the world. All of his friends, associates, colleagues, disciples, all of them were Jews. He regularly worshiped in Jewish communal worship, what we call synagogues.

He preached from Jewish text, from the Bible. He celebrated the Jewish festivals. He went on pilgrimage to the Jewish Temple in Jerusalem where he was under the authority of priests.... He lived, was born, lived, died, taught as a Jew.

Here's where it gets tricky.

An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:

Deuteronomy 23:3. KJV

I think so too.. Jesus was well aware of the oppression caused by the Roman occupation and how incensed the Jews were.. See Sermon on the Mount.

I'm just not following your comments on holding property in common or colonialism or anarchy??

I know Jesus was aware of Roman colonialism, just as he was aware of thieving by the local rich. He was pointing to the way forward: a primitive form of socialism.
