Hell yea. She wasn’t exactly doing bad when I met her. She’s a college graduate and a go getter. It wasn’t like she was impoverished and came from a poor family and was uneducated.

And sometimes they have a good meaningful life where they are but immigrate to be with someone they love but once here want to be an American and share in the American dream. That was our case.

Sometimes they emigrate to escape communist or fascist oppression, but would rather stay where they are if they could.
Not because they dreamed their whole life of living on Malibu Beach.
And at that point, they would be happy to go to Canada, United States, Australia, UK, or any stable country they can make a decent life for themselves.

Of course. That's why I said most not all. There are a myriad of reasons why people come here and you gave an example of one.
