Truthfully, I believe she, like many, had a problem with Obama trying to ram it through without perusal from Congress.
How is that relevant, neither are President?
But for fun we will play the game, guessing, Bernie would have the same approach Trump is without the attempt at bullying, but he would't have been executing it against some of our traditional trading partners. Domestically, a Gov't sponsored five year plan aimed at making us self sufficient as the Chinese, Japanese, and several European nations employ. Bernie is a Socialist remember
Hillary, she would have gone with TPP, and I know she said she opposed it, but she did that cause the polls showed it wasn't popular in key states
Wow...you think it's that hard? Simple...manufacture in the U.S. How do you achieve that? It's a little late, now that corporations are paying no taxes. BUT, you can rewrite the tax code so that only corps who manufacture here enjoy the tax benefits. Stop relying on China for all of our manufacturing, and the problems eventually ease.

they have no plan. they were taught that hating the american people was "edgy" in college and never looked back.
I already told you, TPP, but Trump blew that one
Given such, it ain't escalating trade wars, Trump has one currently going with China, Canada, and the EU, he sure as hell ain't accomplishing much with his attempt to bully the Chinese, in fact, just like North Korea, when something is arrived at it will most likely be further to China's benefit
It's relevant when you mention legislation they wouldn't signed. But it's even more relevant when discussing how we should address China. Not every Democrat and not every Republican thinks the same way when it comes to China. Much of the discussion on the topic is just people complaining about Trump. Not very much about people saying how they think we should handle the issue. I want to hear other ideas.

You mean like China's "five year plan" for the economy aimed at making them self sufficient? Or the other similar state sponsored designs Japan and the several EU nations have in effect?
They'll be calling you a Commie
Clinton would have signed it, I'd even wager she would have worked to get it approved, as I noted earlier, she supported it till it polled bad, she was a pure politician, although a bad one
Few here even understand trade, or the complexities involved, let alone what Trump is attempting.
And Trump is going to come up, it is his trade policy
It isn’t complex. Either you support free trade or you don’t. If you do you don’t need an agreement. You just allow goods to flow freely
Free trade agreements are nothing more than corporate welfare for rent seekers
Please DETAIL your delusion of how the TPP would limit Red China....

Wil not happen. China CANNOT EAT without US revenues....

tariffs have their place, neocon scum.
Arsecheese, stop being such an almighty knobhead, TPP was a monumentally stupid idea. I mean holy shit even the Guardian thought so!!

since?? WTF are you yammering about?? When did China start it's' "new Silk Road?"Perhaps, but they can get those revenues elsewhere, haven't you been paying attention, since Trump has alienated even some of our traditional political and economic allies, China has gained inroads all over the world
