Rep. Alexandria Occasion Cortez has 20zK in student loan debt

Wrong.
I don't know why dims constantly harp on da rich paying less taxes when it's so easy to see the truth.
The tax cuts helped mostly middle income earners.

The House Budget comm. did a study and it shows there is no debate. the rich and corporations got the tax cuts. Corporations got into stock buybacks which go to execs and stockholders.https://budget.house.gov/publicatio...benefits-wealthy-and-large-corporations-while
There is no argument, it was a break for the wealthy.

The NYT’s:

Almost everyone got a tax break.

Of course the loons can pay the old higher rates.

When donkeys fly.

OP must really be upset that John Kelly now works at the company profiting off of the detention centers after implementing the separations.

All one has to do is compare the tax tables I posted to the old tax schedules. Not difficult.

Point isn't the middle class getting a tax cut, they did, minimally, but rather who benefited disproportionally from the tax cut, and in that case it was most definitely the top, "gonzomin" is correct, don't you remember Trump telling his members at Mar Logo that "he made them all a lot of money"

All falls into the Lafeur curve trickle down myth, which is actually a pseudo intellectual justification to reward rich donors

I have to agree with micawber here.
As long as I've got more to take home I really don't care if da rich have even more. And I quit caring about the deficit because neither dims nor repubs care. Nothing I can do about that unless I'm annointed king. And believe me you wouldn't want that because It would hurt and hurt bad. I'd raise taxes and cut spending, military included. We'd go into a severe recession but would be better off in the long run.

Lot to unscramble there, it is not a question of the rich having more, but rather the rich getting more, getting lot more proportionately in a supposed tax cut that was promoted, passed, and heralded as relief for the middle class

Second, debt, deficits, and discretionary spending was the right's banner all during the Obama Presidency, so now you are telling us it doesn't matter anymore cause those same conservatives who peddled the issue aren't doing anything about it now that they have power?

And what you got was peanuts, which in the end will cost you more, and to say that we would be better off with a "severe recession" would be like revising the Great Depression as a beneficial time in American history

I don't care. For 2017 I was in the 33% tax bracket. https://taxfoundation.org/2017-tax-brackets/
I made about the same in 2018 and will pay 24%. https://taxfoundation.org/2018-tax-brackets/

No, I'm saying it does matter you didn't read or didn't understand what I posted.

I no longer care because nobody else does including repubs.
And what you got was peanuts,
24% vs 33% isn't peanuts.
which in the end will cost you more,
and to say that we would be better off with a "severe recession"
Still can't read.
It would hurt and hurt bad.
You don't think we'd be better of if $0 was spent on interest on money borrowed?

“Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made a student loan payment on Tuesday — and also revealed how much she still owes — while attending a congressional hearing on college debt.

“I literally made a student loan payment while I was sitting here at this chair, and I looked at my balance, and it was $20,237.16,” said the New York lawmaker. “I just made a payment that took me down to $19,000 so I feel really accomplished right now.”

Ocasio-Cortez, a Boston University graduate, was attending a House Financial Services Committee hearing on the estimated $1.5 trillion in student debt in the country. Consumer advocates, experts and public figures testified on different ways to bring the number down.

Ocasio-Cortez is one of nearly 70 members of Congress who are still paying off student loans for themselves or a dependent — with an average debt burden of $37,000. Eight lawmakers are said to have more than $100,000 in debt.

“I’m hearing people on this committee say it’s not our job,” Ocasio-Cortez said, referring to testimony from Republicans during the hearing. “This is our job.”

This is a clear conflict of interest by her and the other Democrats who have unpaid student loans.

They want taxpayers to pay their loans. Conflict of interest.

So instead of doing what she was being paid to do by the American taxpayer (paying attention at a Congressional hearing and looking out for her constituents) she was doing personnel finance and business. Probably the reason she has a degree she knows nothing about.

If you want to go there, I experienced similar, and have never paid anything over anything in the eighteen, nineteen percent range in actual tax, before of after Trump's stimulus to the rich

And that don't make any sense, "I no longer care because nobody else does including repubs," but I guarantee you did care all during the Obama years and now you don't cause your own party who swore by the issue isn't doing anything about it? Makes no sense, it would be like a Democrat saying health care doesn't matter cause Democrats no longer have it as one of their primary issues

But you see a "severe recession" as a solution, which as I commented, would be like interpreting the Great Depression as benefiting Americans

Still presiding over your little club, I see. :flagsal:

:rofl2:

“Vote Democrat” Why isn’t that a full signal of someone’s illiteracy. And it’s so common with you morons

Still pointing out your fucking illiteracy.

Know the difference between a noun, a proper noun, and and adjective, cumstain?
