Fascism is the final stage of capitalism

Calling the Nazis socialist because they used a fake label is like believing Trumpf is a Christian - ludicrous if not totally and consciously dishonest.

So, you figure that the Nazi party decided to lie about being socialists, for the workers, or for Germans; and you figure that someone that believes in Jesus Christ is lying about being a Christian????

Riiiiiggghhhtt.

the country was already doing great before Trump stole office, now the federal government is riddled with grifters and felons

You really are a conspiracy nut, aren't you?

No, America was not doing great. It was in an 8 year long slump, thanks to Obama. Several industries got nationalized, others curtailed by regulations that were constantly shifting. Unemployement remained high so long that Obama called it the 'new normal'.

Trump did not steal anything. He also has:
* started on expanding and improving the wall along the border with Mexico.
* negotiated a relatively peaceful behavior from North Korea.
* finally done something about bringing China on equal footing with the way they treat other nations in trade.
* successfully negotiated a replacement of the North American free trade agreement, that improves U.S.interests.
* unwound as much of Obama's regulations curtailing industry and capitalism as possible.
* focused attention on the fake news, including most of the New York Times, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, CNN, MSNBC, and others.
* reduced taxes across the board.
* reduced unemployment levels to levels not seen since the 60's.
* established the United States as a nation to be recognized and respected.
* has put the Church of Global Warming in it's place.
* convert the liberals into foaming at the mouth lunatics.
* focuses on honoring the Constitution of the United States.

What felons in the United States government are you thinking of?

Social democracy is comfortable friendly capitalism

Neoliberal austerity is capitalism in crisis, "rational" cruelty that always hits the poor and never the rich

Fascism is the final descent of capitalism, emergency capitalism, where the elites throw off all pretenses and go full authoritarian in hopes of keeping their stolen gains

The first and last stages of Marxism are the killing fields.

You are even crazier than i thought. You really believe that crap?

The natural progression of capitalism is competitive business, then cooperation in eliminating competition, then buyouts and mergers, followed by oligarchy and finally monopoly. We are mostly in the oligarchy stage now.
Eliminating competition allows companies to assure profits and not waste money on improving products. It ends price wars. It is bad for consumers.
Most of you have never seen competition in major industries. There were many gasoline brands when I was a youngster. They had price wars lowering the price during the day to improve sales. They pumped your gas, cleaned your windows, checked your oil and tire pressure. They gave out redemption stamps like S&H . They gave you glassware for a fillup.
When you went to a department store, they took returns without question and they too had price wars. The mantra was 'the customer is always right".
When the oil companies kept getting bought out or merged, the trend was clear. They had the power and the special service could be ignored and prices could be whatever they say.
Grocery stores and department stores merged or sold. Now they are in charge. It is a different and worse world. It is not competition. It is not capitalism. That was killed long ago.

And now for some whining by a grumpy old man...
The natural progression of capitalism is competitive business,
Correct.
then cooperation in eliminating competition,
You can't. There is always new competition coming along.
then buyouts and mergers,
If you are bad at running your business, sure.
followed by oligarchy
Nope. Has nothing to do with any of it.
and finally monopoly.
Monopolies are self destructive. All it takes is for some little company to come along that does a better job and blows your kneecaps off.

* It happened to IBM when personal computers came alone (and Microsoft and Apple).
* It happened to Microsoft when Linux came along.
* It happened to Agfa when Dupont came along.
* It happened to Kodak when digital cameras came along.

The ONLY way a monopoly can STAY a monopoly is by protection from the government, which is not capitalism. Even then, it still doesn't work all that well.
We are mostly in the oligarchy stage now.
Not part of capitalism.
Eliminating competition allows companies to assure profits
No, it puts them in a state of complacency, and later destruction by a new competitor.
and not waste money on improving products.
If they don't improve their product, they will be out of business. It happened to...(I already listed some examples).
It ends price wars. It is bad for consumers.
The personal computer is a hell of a lot cheaper than an IBM mainframe or even a Data General Nova 3.
Most of you have never seen competition in major industries.
We all have. It is YOU that is ignoring what is right in front of you.
There were many gasoline brands when I was a youngster.
There still are.
They had price wars lowering the price during the day to improve sales.
They still do.
They pumped your gas, cleaned your windows, checked your oil and tire pressure.
That they did. Turned out that's not what people wanted anymore. So some competitors lowered their price by eliminating the service that no one wanted. Most everyone wants to and pumps their own gas and checks their own oil.
They gave out redemption stamps like S&H.
No one wanted them. All that did was create stacks of stamp books, and no one has the time or patience anymore. Nowadays, they use price reduction incentives by computers.
They gave you glassware for a fillup.
No one wanted them. All that did was create a cupboard filled with a bunch of random glassware.
When you went to a department store, they took returns without question
They still do.
and they too had price wars.
They still do.
The mantra was 'the customer is always right".
It still is in many department stores.
When the oil companies kept getting bought out or merged,
Only the unsuccessful ones.
the trend was clear.
What trend? New companies came along, dude.
They had the power and the special service could be ignored and prices could be whatever they say.
They don't have 'the power'. No one wanted the 'special service' anymore. The price of gasoline today is extraordinarily low. As low as it's ever been by commodity pricing. It will never be 30 cents a gallon again because the dollar has fallen in value, not because the commodity price of gasoline is so high. Compare the priced of gasoline against silver, gold, wheat, or pork bellies, and you'll see what I mean.
Grocery stores and department stores merged or sold.
The unsuccessful ones have. Other new ones have come along.
Now they are in charge.
They are NOT in charge. People went from shopping at a department store to going to the big box stores. Turns out Lowes and Home Depot and Harbor Freight have a better inventory than Sears for hardware, Walmart and Kroger a wider selection of general merchandise, Best Buy and Frys a better selection of electronics, etc. Sears couldn't compete with that, and is closing a lot of their stores. Oh well.
It is a different and worse world.
No, just a different one.
It is not competition.
It IS competition.
It is not capitalism.
It IS capitalism.
That was killed long ago.
Nope. Still there. Still operates.
* We have personal computers where NOTHING existed before.
* We have cars that are also part cell phone and are efficient instead of that old gas guzzler that weighed about as much as your average aircraft carrier.
* We have a choice between gasoline, diesel, natural gas, or electric powered cars, or we can buy a hybrid. Used to be you could only buy gasoline and in a few rare cases, diesel powered cars.
* We have radios that are the size of an aspirin tablet or less. No more tubes!
* We have TV's that have better resolution, better color, better sound, and 512 channels of shit to watch. and they are flat. You can hang 'em on a wall.
* We have practical home VR. We have home video games by the thousands, and they are much better than the old stand up arcades; all where NONE existed before.
* We have a wider variety of crafts, tools, etc. than ever before. Think about THAT this halloween! Oh, and we have whole stores dedicated to selling holiday stuff, and they are making money! That means people want it.
* We have Alexa and Google Voice, where NONE exited before.
* We personal aircraft where NONE existed before. We have airlines that will whisk you to pretty much anywhere within hours, where NO aircraft existed before. Some are better at it than others, while some are cheaper than others. You choose from a wide variety of airlines. You are no longer restricted to TWA (remember TWA?).
* We have 3D printers, where NONE existed before. You can print in ABS or PLA plastic (PLA is food grade, ABS is stronger), sintered steel or copper, even sintered wood. NONE of these existed before.
* We have dyes in pretty much every color of the rainbow, where only a few natural dyes existed before.
* We have movies and music you can play from a piece of media the size of a dime. They are better quality than any phonograph or TV broadcast of the 60's.
* We have headphones that fit in your ear that blow away the best speakers of a 60's stereo system. Remember those old crappy earphones?
* We have Google, Duck Duck Go, and a whole variety of other search engines to look up information from around the world at a moment's notice, where NONE existed before. Remember the encyclopedias? They aren't needed so much in a world like that!
* We have the ability to chat right here, in print, though we are separated by great distance. That didn't exist before.
* We have the ability to order practically any book printed, and whole lot of other stuff, including specialty items, from the comfort of your own home, and have it delivered within a day or two. That never existed before, not even with Sears.

In other words, you have closed your eyes to the competition that's out there, producing all these wonderful products and services. You have closed your eyes to what capitalism does to a monopoly. Remember, the monopoly is at a disadvantage. Some small and maneuverable little company will come along and teach that old slow moving dinosaur a lesson or two!

yeah, they were socialists like Kim Jung Un is the president of a democracy

ever hear of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea?

Yep, the NK gov't is Democratic Socialism, Dufus.

"Elections in North Korea are held every four-to-five years for the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA), the country's national legislature, and every four years for Local People's Assemblies.[1][2]

All seats are won by the Democratic Front for the Reunification of the Fatherland.[3] The Workers' Party of Korea dominates the Front and holds 87.5% of the seats"
