Medicare For All a fiscal winner

You didn't even address the point.

The point was that those "illegals" are paying into the system for M4A because they're stealing your job.

Unless...they're not stealing your job...in which case, why would you care if they're here or not?

So you can't bleat about "illegals" stealing your job while at the same time calling them moochers for accepting social services they're paying into with the job they "stole" from you.

Let's keep it real.

This entire business about taking jobs was started by racist white men who really want to say Mexicans are taking jobs from Blacks...…...Blacks who need to be working in the fields...….they have never gotten over slavery.

So white America when you support the "illegal Immigrant BS"...………….this is what you are actually supporting.

Don't take my word for it...…..research for yourself.

Racist white men have codded their ideology to fool the masses.

It's also a common misconception that farm labor is "unskilled". It actually requires a lot of skill, and very few people have the inherent "know how" to grow and harvest produce. Just like with the Japanese immigrants pre-WWII, South American migrants are bringing their techniques and skills with them, because farm work isn't simply planting seeds in the ground and sitting back, waiting for those seeds to grow.

This Twitter thread is the best when it comes to explaining this phenomenon, and everyone should read it:

Just like they think a fast food worker is unskilled.

They have brainwashed americans to adopt unskilled=low pay…………..whilst the master makes billions.

It was a statement of the inconsistency between opposing a tax cut (or subsidy) for business yet assuming some of their cost of providing healthcare.

They're still assuming the cost, Flash.

Instead of paying $15K premiums per employee, they're paying a 7.5% tax of their income.

Take Netflix, for example.

Netflix has 7,100 employees. According to KFF, the average business spends $15K/year/employee to sponsor coverage. So Netflix probably spends around $106.5M to provide coverage to their workers every year.
In 2018, Netflix made $845M in profit. If they paid 7.5% of that for M4A, they would have paid $63.4M to provide coverage to their workers. So they would save $43.1M a year with M4A and all their employees would have coverage.

Government is still providing financial benefits to business.

By reducing the amount they need to spend to provide coverage for their workers, as I laid out above.

You are changing the topic.

No, because a company providing benefits to its workers is exactly the heart of what we're talking about.

Netflix
7,100 employees, $845M in profit for 2018
$15K/employee for coverage x 7,100 employees = $106.5M
$845M in profit in 2018 x 7.5% M4A tax = $63.4M

Is $106.5 > or < $63.4?

How much does Netflix save with M4A? Be honest. It's simple; $106.5M - $63.4M = $43.1M in savings.

Now, what can Netflix do with that extra $43.1M? Well, they can give all their employees $6K/yr raises. They can spend $43.1M to buy more content from studios to enhance your viewing experience. They can direct $43.1M to original programming to create new shows (and all the jobs that come with that, because each Netflix original series employs over 500 people).

Weird that you would reduce childbirth, which is a natural act, to a privilege.

Everything is, ultimately, a natural act. :dunno: Unless you believe in the supernatural.

lV426 is supporter of the RIGHT to be BORN. Well, well, wel.

I said, "Being born is a privilege". And you blew up! ... a Freudian slip perhaps?

I don't understand why many liberals complain about tax cuts and "subsidies" for business yet seek to give them a huge benefit by assuming the health care costs they now provide to their employees.

Health insurance is part of the compensation package. It is not a corporate gift.
Universal healthcare is far cheaper and covers everyone.
It also takes the cost and complexity out of the business sector. We compete internationally with companies that do not have that in their business models.

Don't lower taxes also help them to compete internationally by lowering their costs?

Yes and ours are very low. We have a low tax rate. Many of our largest international corporations pay no American taxes.

They are low now but before the 2017 tax cut they were the highest plus about the only nation that taxed foreign profits giving companies an incentive to leave the money abroad. I can understand the argument for both since they help American companies to lower their costs and compete internationally. But liberals seem hostile to tax cuts while favoring M4A which gives them equal or more benefits.

Let's use just math and numbers to see how, shall we?

According to KFF's 2018 Employer Health Benefits Survey, the average worker pays $5,547 in premiums and $1,573 in deductibles for a total of $7,120. The HH median income in the country is $61,000. So right now, the average worker pays 12% of their income for health care ($7,120/$61,000 = 11.6%).

Likewise, the average business pays $15,000 per employee to provide coverage. For a business of 50 employees, that is $750,000. The average income for a "small business" (<50 employees) is just $73,000, according to PayScale.

Bernie's M4A plan's payroll tax rate sets a 4% tax on income for workers, and 7.5% tax on income for businesses.

So doing some simple math:

Under the current system, the average worker pays 11.6% of their income, or $7,120 for health care.
If taxed at 4% as proposed, the average worker pays 4% of their income, or $2,440 for health care, saving $4,680 a year.

Under the current system, the average small business of 50 employees pays $750,000 to provide coverage ($15K/worker x 50 workers).
If taxed at 7.5% as proposed, the average small business of 50 employees pays just $5,475 to provide coverage for all its workers, saving $744,525.

Voodoo economics

I sent you the USA Today story than had all the numbers and it also had a link to the poll. If you had bothered to read it you would have also read that 40% of Americans favor removal from office.

How can any percentage favor removal from office when an investigation has yet to be done? You must mean 40% of whiny, bitchy leftists that continue to cry and think getting their asses whipped in 2016 is a high crime or misdemeanor.

Universal healthcare is not cheaper for me.

Why do you think I should pay more?

As more information is learned, additional facts revealed, the numbers approving both impeachment and removal from office will only grow. Why do you think this administration is refusing to co operate? The have oh so much to hide.

Don't lower taxes also help them to compete internationally by lowering their costs?

Well, has it? We cut corporate taxes back in December 2017 and the result? Plenty of multinational companies continue to offshore, outsource, and lay off labor. The DJIA has grown less than 6% in 21 months of the tax cut. So...how did cutting corporate taxes from 35% to 21% make those companies compete better internationally?

Also, any taxes are on income, not revenues, so lowering taxes only lets them "compete" by being more profitable. But profitability isn't competition.

Not an answer to my question.

You assume to much just like you assume guilt BEFORE any investigation has been done.

But the tax cut wasn't to a rate below many of those nations, which is why that premise is stupid.

So you cut taxes to appear to be competitive, but you don't lower the rate to where it actually is competitive...so all you did was lower the rate to make those companies richer and expand the deficit.

Not an answer to my question.

You assume to much just like you assume guilt BEFORE any investigation has been done.

On the other hand, you will assume innocence regardless of what facts emerge. In fact you are assuming innocence right now without waiting for a full report.
