The foreigners are certain to mention what a fine hotel he has and that they are staying there. There are incidents of countries booking a bunch of rooms and not showing up. Trump was making money off the rooms. The foreigners stayed at his rooms to curry favor from Trump. I doubt any past presidents were informed so often about the hotel arrangements of foreign dignitaries and representatives.
