Another confederate statue removed

The destruction of historical statues was done by the Taliban and ISIS.

I could almost understand it if the SJW's were doing it on religious grounds. But their excuse is it offends some people. I guess 21st century people are more offended than 20th century people.

Whether the Civil War was fought over slavery or destroying the union, does not matter. It was an attempt to destroy the US. It was not a heroic battle for values. It was an attempted overthrow of the government. They are all in Benedict Arnold's class.

It was a peaceful attempt to leave that was met with violent resistance by the Union troops.

The Confederates didn't attack the Union America. The Union America invaded the Confederates.

Ft Sumter.

The point where the Union first invaded the Confederacy. The fort was part of the Confederate nation. The Union invaded and tried to supply it. They had no authority to be in Confederate land or to maintain a military installation in Confederate land. The Confederates defended themselves.

Those that renounce their citizenship do it as individuals.
Not an armed mob of treasonous racist scum.

Guess that makes you a traitor then. You support the United States, which seceded from the British empire and fought a war using an armed mob of treasonous scum (as the king of England tended to view it).

Slavery is not racism. Slavery is simply slavery. Expecting other States to uphold the Constitution of the United States, which they agreed to, is not racism.

With all that is going on, I really could give a shit about racist monuments the GOP base thinks are sacred.

We have a criminal with Nukes at 1600. This chickenshit pales in importance.

Fallacies are not a list anywhere. A fallacy is an error in logic, just like an arithmetic error is an error in mathematics.

All you are showing is that you have no understanding of logic.

You kidding, I graduated from a Jesuit college, I matured beyond Logic 101 quickly

Here maybe you can learn how to use the terms correctly

Stuff of bad history belongs in a museum not enshrined in a public square paying tribute. Having a bad guy/traitor set in tribute is not right for the future. It's not that much different than having a statue of the OKC bomber in OKC. Take the ones that are actual relics to a history museum but the ones erected sour grapes style during the civil rights era don't belong there though

You do know that there is a monument to Benedict Arnold's service in the battle of Saratoga in a national park. I don't believe men fighting for their home states rights is comparable to what Arnold did.

And another example of the SJW's trying to hide a low point in our history. We have a statue of a union soldier looking north in our town. I guess we should tear it down because it reminds us of the Civil war and slavery.

Who said destroy statues, just keep your CSA off public land in the USA
