Mark Levin: "...declare the impeachment null and void"

But this is about impeachment and you seem desperately trying to divert away from Pelosi's failure. :good4u:

I don't think it is a "failure." I think she is purposely making this decision for some reason.

I don't understand why this trivial issue of whether the president has been impeached is important since she will probably send the articles to the Senate in a short time and then the issue will be moot.

I certainly don't think Pelosi is violating the Constitution or any rules. Republicans either don't want to admit Trump has been impeached or want to divert his impeachment to something Pelosi did wrong.

That it would be ‘white washed so quickly’ doesn’t say much for the Democrats case against Trump lol.

Pelosi and House Democrats already own the dubious distinction of passing the first strictly partisan impeachment articles against a duly elected President. And that’s actually being generous: they lost two votes to nay; had one spineless ‘present’ vote and caused one member to switch parties over it.

And it was Democrats who tried to make tiny corrupt little Ukraine into a ‘national Security issue’. I can’t think of a single Trump supporter who would call Ukraine a ‘national Security issue’. Though I can think of some [irrelevant] republican war hawks who make that claim.

Spin it all you want, this doesn’t look good for Democrats.

This giant desperate cluster they created is washing right back up on THEIR beach.

Pelosi is making the decision for a reason and the reason is 100% political.

The Garland analogy is weak because Republicans didn’t initiate the impeachment process and then stop it for rank political reasons. Senate leaders will chose not to have hearings for political reasons all the time. In fact, to either have/not have a hearing is pretty much always a political calculation of some sort.

When the House gets back in session Pelosi will have to make a decision about opening a House investigation into FISA abuse.

Don’t hold your breath waiting on that to happen lol.

Whether Trump is impeached is a legitimate question until House managers deliver the articles to the Senate. I’m not saying Trump isn’t impeached—I’m saying there are two schools of thought on it—and the argument that Trump isn’t impeached isn’t ‘off the wall and outlandish’.

That it’s a legitimate question isn’t a good thing for Democrats.

I was nearly begging them to go with a censure vote and they wouldn’t listen to me lol.

Ironically, until the articles are delivered to the Senate that’s basically all the House did—for all practical purposes, they censured Trump. Maybe that’s been Pelosi’s ploy all along. Maybe she never had any intentions of delivering the articles but wanted a ‘risk free’ impeachment.

Wouldn’t surprise me a bit.

Like an impeachment "light". LOL
When you look at the last few months in the bigger picture, what you say makes sense. I can remember
her saying more than once that how impeachment isn't such a good idea and giving her reasons.
All I can think of is that she had to at least do this much because of the demands of the squad and
other far left fringe members of the Party. It's a shame she never had the guts to tell them to go pound sand,
and now she's boxed into a corner. She was stuttering and stammering like a schoolgirl last week at a
presser trying to explain just what is next.

Levin= Charlatan

Real scholars know one when they see one. Yokels nod there head at his screeds and faux intellectual blatherings like he is the Fox
legal Pope. We know he is a paid whore of the right. It's hilarious you human turds get your legal training from a clown instead
of immersing yourselves in the case law.

Let me make this short, he is not eminent. He is a mouthpiece for narrow political interests on the right. A known whore.

Wow lol.

She clearly doesn’t want to talk about it. And it seems apparent that she doesn’t know what to do. This is easy, no lol? Just follow that constitution—you spent the last three months wrapping yourself in it, so, deliver the articles to the Senate.

Isn’t it your ‘sworn to duty to protect the constitution’?

It’s a good think I don’t have a press pass because I would totally ask her that.

If Pelosi continues to sit on it past the holidays Levin has a good argument.

The House has the power to impeach but they have no authority to deprive the Senate of *its duty* to adjudicate it. So, the Senate can declare the impeachment null and void. If there’s nothing in the constitution that explicitly states the articles must be turned over to the senate—then the turn about is fair play—no where does the constitution explicitly prohibit the senate from declaring an impeachment null and void.

And it would be a fitting end to this political stunt of an impeachment.

Precisely.

“So, just how rich is Mark Levin? As of late 2017, celebrity dot money informs us of a net worth that is over seven million dollars, accumulated through the various elements of his career. His continued work means his wealth will likely continue to rise.
Mark is the son of Jack E. Levin, who also authored several books. He matriculated from Cheltenham High School in just three years, and then went to Temple University Ambler, graduating with a degree in political science by 1977, as summa cum laude - he was just 19 years old at the time. He became a part of the school board in the same year, and by 1980 earned a juris doctorate.”

Pelosi’s unilaterally sitting on the impeachment. This is another brazen unconstitutional act...
Mark Levin·Thursday, December 19, 2019·1 minute

Nancy Pelosi was apparently advised by leftwing Harvard law professor Lawrence Tribe to delay sending the impeachment to the Senate. So she’s unilaterally sitting on the impeachment. This is another brazen unconstitutional act.

Here’s what Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans must do in response: The Senate has the sole power under the Constitution to adjudicate an impeachment. Therefore, Pelosi is attempting to obstruct the Senate’s power to act on its constitutional authority. McConnell should immediately put an end to this and declare the impeachment null and void as the speaker has failed to complete the impeachment process by timely sending it to the Senate for adjudication. McConnell has no less authority to unilaterally make such a decision than Pelosi does to withhold the administrative notification of an impeachment to the Senate either indefinitely or with conditions. Her effort to cripple the presidency and blackmail the Senate must be defeated.

She and the Dems have been caught flat footed for the past 2 years. Trump has shook them
to the core. None of them have ever experienced real push-back before and been forced into
positions of accountability. And, Barr & Durham are still ahead. Their little club is
getting turned inside out.

Well, about that lol.

I’m not fully convinced Durham will do more than give a few perfunctory wrist-slaps. And if that’s the case, the ‘accountability’ will never come. It’s true that Trump represents an existential threat to the administrative state and as one writer observed: first they tried to prevent him, then they tried to destroy him.

But if Durham doesn’t deliver they may end up just outlasting him. The transgressions are so blatantly apparent—if there’s no accountability after this, there never will be any.

He's doing a deep dive on Brennan right now, so he
is on the right track. Going straight up the chain of command.

He's just a right wing whore who talks down to his little people and they adore him for it.

In the august solons of jurisprudence, well, he's just not invited into those rooms.

He's a jurisprudential wanker. All right wing goons are, pretty much. Funny how the elite thinkers
seem to populate the left. Yes funny that. You could argue without force that reason's grand conspiracy
places them there. Or you could just admit that's where serious thought takes you.

Serious people don't listen to Levin. He's a reader's digest for whack jobs type TV scholar.
A paint by the numbers con artist. If OW Holmes was an NBA All Star, Levin would be a second string small forward
for an exhibition team paid to lose to the Globetrotters. He's a clown's patsy. The eternal butt end of a lawyer joke
every time he opens his pie hole.

Angry at the world for being a butt-ugly, prematurely bald-headed, sawed-off little runt who couldn't get laid in a whorehouse with stacks of $100 bills sticking out of his pockets.

I’ll grant that some things look pretty apparent lol.

When Durham weighed in to disrupt the ‘everything is honky-dory with the Horowitz report’ narrative, that made it pretty clear to me that he’s not going to play paddy-cake. Still yet, I want to see it with my two eyes.

Results, no more talk.
