If what Cuomo says is true then.....

It's already flat. There are so few cases in the world compared to the world population that there is no 'curve' to flatten.

Very few cases of these very few cases require hospital treatment at all. Most of the time, it appears about as severe as a cold. Most recover in 3-6 days. Since the test is for antibodies, not the virus, people that have had this flu will still show positive on the tests.

Hospitals in the United States are the best in the world. They can easily cope. This is a mild flu season. Our hospitals have handled much worse flu seasons with no problems.

Then of course are the manufactured numbers, the mass hysteria over nothing, and the shutting down of the economy over nothing. A worldwide infection rate of 0.000275% is insignificant. A worldwide death rate from this flu of 0.00003% is insignificant.

ok boomer

Few facts, the corenavirus is spreading, it spreads by social contact, and there exists zero preventive measures to stop the virus from inflicting anyone at anytime. Most Americans would easily favor their personal health over the economy.

Not facts. Arguments. Learn what the word 'fact' means.

There are treatments for corona virus. The body also produces antibodies against this virus. Wash your hands. These are all preventive measures. It is not zero. 99.999325% of Americans are not infected. That's most Americans, dude.

Have you tried San Franshitsco?

WHEN LIBS RUN A TOWN, SHIT WILL ABOUND

In San Franshitsco, people call the city's telephone hotline about 65 times a day to report piles of human feces on streets and footpaths.

That adds up to 14,597 calls placed to 311 between January 1 and August 13, the San Franshitsco Chronicle reports.

Now, city officials are ramping up their response to San Franshitsco's "poop problem".

Starting next month, a team of five Public Works employees will take to the streets of San Francshitsco's grittiest neighborhood, the Tenderloin, in a vehicle equipped with a steam cleaner.

They will ride around the alleys to clean piles of poop before city denizens have a chance to complain about them, the Chronicle reports.

The poop problem has become a key issue for Mayor London Breed of San Franshitsco.

"I will say there is more feces than I've ever seen here," Breed told NBC in a recent interview.

The feces is a symptom of a much broader issue.

I don't go there either. I try to avoid the SOTC as much as possible. I would rather stay in the United States.

I understand flattening the curve

I also understand that 99% of people who get this will have zero problems. Meaning we won’t overwhelm the healthcare system.

You are being gaslighted to surrender your freedoms. Even if it were true, shouldn’t we all be free to make that choice?

Are we now saying that everyone has the right to be free from being exposed to a virus? As far as infectious disease risk, there isn’t much risk.

Look at Dear Faucis words during H1N1. There is no dire warnings. No talk of shutting down our economy. We risk more now by government action than we ever did from this virus

The long term social costs [alcohol/drug abuse, divorce, suicide etc] from these measures will be with us long after the virus is gone.

If, it goes on much longer.

There are no denying those *facts*.

If those facts don’t change *significantly* within two weeks ‘open her back up’.

Trump just said by Easter he will be looking at easing restrictions. You will start to see a mass rush the other way soon

Why is it so difficult for Trumpkins to understand that there was a vaccine for H1N1, if a person was worried they could simply stop by their local drug store and end their worry, there is no vaccine for this virus, and it is spreading

He's doing it because it's a election year and there are just so many stupid bastards in the world. For the vast majority of healthy people catching this virus is just another form of flu. However your country is populated with seriously stupid cunts, anybody with any sense would say let's protect the vulnerable and allow the healthy to go back to work. Not one of you ignorant fuckers on here has ever attempted to explain why 80,000 died in the US in 2017 from the type A H3N2 virus yet nobody called for mass isolation. Maybe you can explain but somehow I think you'll prefer to avoid answering.

Oh and stop fucking blaming Trump for everything and blame the sick cunts in the CCP instead, they are the real culprits!!

Another one who doesn't understand there was a vaccine for prior virus, there is no preventive for this virus, and one can be a carrier without apparent symptoms and bring the virus to someone who otherwise might not have gotten it

well considering we know who the vulnerable populations are AND we know where this is "exploding" like 0.2% of NYC's population :)

I would say open up the entire economy right now. The overwhelming majority of our population is at no more risk of contracting this than they are during flu season given that 45% of our population doesn't even get a flu vaccine despite its availability EVERY year.

We need to take advantage of herd immunity and absent a vaccine the best way to do that is GETTING the virus. Don't be scared. You have gotten lots of viruses you have NEVER known the name of and you were just fine. We didn't have a test.

Here is a fun thought experiment for you. Look up with "influenza like illness" is and what that means then get back to me.

You are aware that individuals can have the virus and show no outward signs, correct? In other words they could be carriers bring the virus to individuals who otherwise might not have gotten it, correct?

And that although the virus seems to strike older Americans or those with preconditions, it also has been found in all age groups, correct? Again meaning identifying "vulnerable populations" isn't as easy you suggest

No one is saying that the stay in place should be permanent, however, it is inane to take the chance until more is known about the virus, until at least maximum testing is done anything short of a miracle pedicates continuing as is, Americans would favor their health over economics
