I disagree.
The USA has 143K cases.
2500 dead.
Those numbers are rising so fast it's hard to keep up with them.
It is only logical that this would first present in areas with a lot of travelers, and high population, then filter out to the rest of the country. And that is exactly what we are seeing. Logic also predicts that areas with lower population levels and fewer travelers would experience the rise in pandemic levels following the high-population areas. Rural America is in the sights of this killing machine.
If it has not become a major problem for rural America yet, it is only a matter of time until it does.
If you want to know what it's going to be like, all you have to do is look at what NYC is going through now.
