COVID related deaths

Maybe Trump told him that!

"This is a flu. This is like a flu"; "Now, you treat this like a flu"; "It's a little like the regular flu that we have flu shots for. And we'll essentially have a flu shot for this in a fairly quick manner." - Donald Trump.

Covid-19 is a flu. It is a variant of the SARS virus, also a flu. No, we don't have flu shots for every kind of flu. We can, however, treat Covid-19 using drugs used for malaria. The seem to be very effective.

Big Pharma and CDC are all about pushing drugs and vaccines rather than informing the public to take responsibility for the
health of their immune systems which requires getting enough of the hormones A & D3 plus vitamin C daily and less of sugar.
Young and old can both be deficient in these areas. Yearly check-ups should always display A & D level ranges in blood work.

CDC sells 2 codes for Covid.
First one shows the definite virus.
Second one is...like...well...they have a cough...so it MIGHT be the virus.

Unfortunately they use BOTH under the heading of Covid 19. Sending the world and economy into a panic...bunch of liars!

Hello Darth,

I'm glad it's that low.

Now, what's supposed to stop it from eventually infecting a majority of the planet?

Needless to say, .6% of a large population is a large number.

What if 60% of the USA got it before a an effective vaccine is available publicly?

Let's do that math.

329M x 60% = 197 million people getting the virus.

.6% of them die.

197M x .6% = 1.2 million dead Americans.

This is not a good thing.

That is around 10 times the amount predicted by Fauci.

And, what IF 60% of people took care of their immune systems on a regular basis?

We just passed a million cases world wide.

The USA has nearly a quarter of them. 740 cases per million.

Bad leadership.

Taiwan has 339 cases. 14 cases per million.

Good leadership.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

True, but there's a difference between premeditated homicide and accidental or needless deaths. Each year about 650K Americans die of heart disease and about another 600K die of cancer and no one blinks an eye. About 37K Americans die each year in auto accidents and most Americans don't care. Presumably because, as a nation, we've done our best to make the roads and autos as safe as possible so it's either stop driving or accept the losses for now. In the case of a plague, there are measures that can be taken and our nation is doing it's best to take those actions. If they don't, and we start having a lot of needless deaths, We, the People are going to be unhappy about it.

In every case, we have done what we can do to reduce the number of deaths by whatever means. And that is what we are doing now.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

I know that's the attempt, but as the OP article noted, along with the example of Memorial Hospital following Katrina, dire circumstances with limited supplies means not everyone can be saved. Therefore decisions need to be made regarding prioritization of victims. I.E. Combat Triage.

Don't most people do so already? I'm not following your meaning here. Who deliberately gets sick?

We now see that a lot of people do not take proactive measures to protect their immune systems, making them strong to help fight off diseases either
prior to contraction or in order to give themselves a fighting chance to overcome it once a disease attacks them.

Such as social distancing or not wearing a hazmat suit?

???

I'm talking about during the normal course of our lives. To be physically prepared overall to stave off illness.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you have any examples? Most people I know try to eat right, exercise, don't smoke and drink in moderation. Is that what you mean and do yourself?

I've already explained in great detail in many other posts. A lot of those
seriously infected or passed away did not eat right which damaged their
own immune systems, which brought on other diseases, which in turn
required all kinds of meds......which again in turn made them even MORE
susceptible to succumbing to a virus by way of a weakened immune system.

That's certainly a factor in some cases. Not so much in others. COVID-19 is a "novel" virus meaning it's not only new, but for which humans are not immune.

What are the Bio-markers?

What are biomarkers and why are they useful?
Biomarkers are useful in a number of ways, including measuring the progress of disease,
evaluating the most effective therapeutic regimes for a particular cancer type, and
establishing long-term susceptibility to cancer or its recurrence.
The parameter can be chemical, physical or biological.

Biomarker (medicine) - Wikipedia

How many biomarkers are in the human body?
While there may be over 25,000 genes, 100,000 to 200,000 transcripts and up to 1,000,000 proteins,
it is estimated that there may be as few as 2,500 small molecules in the human metabolome.
Biomarkers are by definition an indicator of a particular condition in the body.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Where are biomarkers found?
Biomarkers may be produced by the cancer tissue itself or by
other cells in the body in response to cancer.
They can be found in the blood, stool, urine, tumor tissue,
or other tissues or bodily fluids.
Notably, biomarkers are not limited to cancer.

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Why do we need biomarkers?
Biomarkers are characteristics of the body that you can measure.
So your blood pressure is actually a biomarker. ...
Biomarkers are integral to drug development; they're really critical,
because we need to measure the effects of
investigational drugs on people during the clinical trials.Mar 3, 2017

What are examples of biomarkers?
Some examples of biomarkers include blood cholesterol, a well-known
biomarker of risk for coronary heart disease,
and PSA, which is associated with prostate cancer.

What is a marker in medical terms?
Medical Definition of Marker
Marker: A piece of DNA that lies on a chromosome so close to a gene that the marker and the gene are inherited together.
A marker is thus an identifiable heritable spot on a chromosome. A marker can be an expressed region of DNA (a gene) or
a segment of DNA with no known coding function.

Why biomarkers are used in clinical trials?
In drug development and clinical trials, biomarkers may be used to help identify populations for a study, monitor therapeutic response, and identify side effects. The FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research defines the biomarker qualification process for this use.Jun 19, 2017

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

What are the different types of biomarkers?
There are two major types of biomarkers: biomarkers of exposure, which are used in risk prediction, and biomarkers of disease, which are used in screening and diagnosis and monitoring of disease progression.

So this guy goes up to Dan Rather and asks him, 'What are the Bio-markers?' --nothing could be construed by it so it was thought to be just some odd ball.

Again. It's not about a DIRECT link to the virus. It's an INDIRECT link by way of not ingesting the proper fuel into the body
to make the immune system stronger in order to AVOID OTHER DISEASES (the underlying ones) which would SUBSEQUENTLY
weaken the immune SYSTEM and its ability to fight OFF a much stronger VIRUS.

Thanks. I understood, but what I'm saying is that even a healthy person with an optimal immune system can become sick from disease.
