That's because most of you are overpaid to begin with. Then subtract your own state and local taxes that can't be figured in, along with your homeless, crime, welfare etc, you're shithole city is more of a leach than paying the "lion's share."

Because we produce more GDP or Gross Domestic Product.

Basically, we produce more & therefor can be paid more.

As for homeless, ALL states with large number of transient people have them.

Half of them probably aren't even from NY.

In welfare NY is more in the middle.
