As much as I despise #COVID45, I can't agree with that. I believe that the Chinese are lying about their numbers, and have been since the IMPOTUS and his masters at Fox started referring to it as the "Chinese virus."

You are right about the mishandling of the course of its spread within the borders of the U.S. though.

They aren’t meaningful otherwise. Lots of people are aware of that which partly explains why trust in the media has fallen off throughout this.

And yet its symptoms are the exact same as COVID or any other respiratory virus. Did you know that of all those who get tested for the flu every year, only 20% test positive for it? Do you understand what that means?

You can add to this good post by pointing out that the seasonal influenza is also far less lethal. Its victims generally tend to be the elderly and those with comorbidities and compromised immune systems, and to a much lesser extent infants. Everyone reading this has had "the flu" at least once in their life. Few of us worry about dying from it. COVID19 takes out the above groups, but also young and healthy ppl as well.

To put it another way for our Fox-impregnated friends: If you were invited to participate in an activity that came with a 20% chance of death or permanent health problems, would you jump to it?

Did you concede that the NYC healthcare system is effectively run by the city? I must have missed that in your rant.

NYC is the shithold driving the COVID numbers in our country. They have obviously fucked something up. It isn't even close. You can try to distract and deflect all you want, but NYC is all fucked up. No other city, state or county is as fucked up as NYC is right now.

Know one will know if those numbers are accurate until they do mass serum antibody testing.

Also, I don’t know what the mortality rate is in young victims of seasonal flu but I can assure you it is greater then 0.0%. Neither do young flu victims get the national spot light when that happens.
