Truth is this pandemic could have been handled in a variety of ways. The way it was handled has resulted in 20,000 deaths thus far.
If Trump heeded the warning and took the political hit by shutting down all travel to US, directed social distancing and shelter in place
and shut down consumer brick mortar and work travel only for critical sectors immediately, instead of later, less than 20,000 would have died.

That is a fact the right does not want to admit. In fact will not admit. He was late to making the right call, still hasn't made it, cowardly deferred to
governators and is subject of fair criticism for that.

And not to mention he does his usual fomenting of conspiracy, persecution complex bs and everything else reprehensible that goes with living with the clown as a leader....

Trump banned travel from China early on—I seem to recall he was criticized for it.

Hindsight is 2020 on the ‘variety of different ways to handle it’. But the way it has been handled thus far, has as much or more to do with Trump’s advisers than Trump. The only thing Trump can do is follow their advice.

Instead of the journalists genuflecting when Fauci takes the podium maybe they can start asking harder questions.
