New numbers from Stanford obliterate Democrats' fake COVID scaremongering

Trump is qualified to question to his advisers judgement on such an issue?

And if he had fired them early in the game, how do you suppose THAT would have gone over?

Sure, but when he has no knowledge of medical issues and the world is experiencing a serious problem he should have never acted like it was not serious and then close down the country when he finds he was wrong. His original response was more dictated by politics than health issues.

Then they would say he's anti-science for firing key experts who could have stopped this crisis...because it's not about the truth. As the left's repeated 180s throughout this pandemic prove, they say whatever they think hurts him at the moment, regardless of how little sense it makes or how many times they have to contradict themselves in the process. See my signature for examples.

Sure, but when he has no knowledge of medical issues

You have no idea what he understands and doesn't understand. You are making an assumption based on nothing, because it's what you WANT to be true. :bs:

and the world is experiencing a serious problem

It ISN'T a serious problem, as the numbers prove. :lies:

he should have never acted like it was not serious

Sure he should have...because it wasn't, and isn't, and it doesn't take a medical degree to deduce that from the obviously fraudulent scaremongering this whole hoax has been based on.

:nono:

and then close down the country when he finds he was wrong.

He WASN'T wrong. Closing down the country is to stop Democrats from lying him out of office. You don't get to lie and then demand that you be rewarded for lying by your opponent automatically surrendering the presidency. That's the logic of a petty child, not a thinking adult.

His original response was more dictated by politics than health issues.

As usual, you have it exactly backward. Him playing along with the political games Democrats forced him into...THAT'S the response that's political here. :palm:

They may claim otherwise, but all the actors were in the same boat at the same time.

Trump, Fauci, Pelosi—who was encouraging people to crowd into China town in January. DeBlasio was doing likewise in NYC. Cuomo apparently didn’t do too hot preparing for things.

I think singling Trump out for criticism is dictated by politics. Check that, I know it is.

Or, because he's, ya know - President of the United States.

There's that.

As Chief executive.

But Trump doesn’t have the authority to shut down subways in NYC. That’s on someone else.

Are you now saying leaders should have shut things down sooner? Because you have seemed to be saying that the shutdowns were the result of an overreaction.

Which is it?

Well, you seem to want to single Trump for what has gone on in NYC.

Are DeBlasio and Cuomo chopped lived?

Take away NYC and parts of Jersey and this thing would be a total bust.

I'm not sure if you realize, but you dodged the question.

Why not take a stand now. Would you advocate right now that all other states remove social distancing and shutdown measures, immediately? Since this is a bust?

Keep the social distancing [when practical] but open up.

Nice! You're on record.

Now, do you think the previous shutdown measures - which Trump has said saved millions of lives - should never have been enacted?

Nope.

I believe it had minimal affect. Do you think Trump is responsible for saving millions of lives? If you go by the models Trump is a veritable savior.

Which way is it?

I guess the president was duped into acting stupidly by shutting down the economy. He should have known better.

Trump didn't shut down the economy. The governors did. They were reacting to (and sometimes feeding) the fear mongering from the Democrats and other liberals.

Which way is it?

You believe people staying in their homes and businesses shutting down amidst one of the most contagiious viruses the world has seen has had minimal effect?

I believe Trump did a good thing shutting down travel from China (partially) in January. After that, he held rallies & golfed, and assured everyone that he had contained things because of that one action and that our 15 cases would go down to zero. Local leadership did the work on the shutdown, which Trump has been all over the place on, from measured support to his "liberate!" tweets.

He's been a terrible leader for this kind of crisis. The opposite of steady & strong.
