Pointing out the facts is not defending China. Can you understand that? Corona was already here. Some autopsies are showing people died here of Corona in December. When Trump was talked into stopping flights to America, over 40,000 people flew in, landing in 17 American cities.
China as a factor was done. The rest was up to Trump who failed miserably.

I don't think that distinction is very reassuring to the families of lost loved ones who never even got to say goodbye because it was too dangerous to allow them to visit their loved ones in their darkest hour.

That is not a distinction without a difference. Apart from the severity in critical COVID patients, there is nothing ‘novel’ about immune system dysfunction and you can ask anyone who suffers from psoriasis, Chron’s or rheumatoid arthritis.

And it may well be that very few COVID patients would ever reach the critical stage—if they are treated properly at the outset.

I wonder how many people died, needlessly, because of the CDC guidelines that excluded steroid treatment in COVID patients. Think one of our ‘journalists’ could keep their minds off Trump long enough to ask Fauci that?

We spend 17% GDP on medical, yet preparing for a pandemic was not attempted.

The distinction is huge.

It means we can forget the vaccine if these people just lacked proper treatment. It could mean a return to full normal in all of society.

If I want to talk about your latest favorite point I will comment in the thread you created to talk about that.

This thread is about the fact that Active Cases in the US have not peaked yet, and some (now we suspect) sensationalized news reports about possible projections.

If you would kindly desist. You have been called on thread derailing.

Actually, I believe the 135,000 overall deaths estimate. Looks to me like we will hit 100,000 deaths by May 20th, (mathematical extrapolation) and the coronavirus will not be done with us then. Right now, we are already at 75,000 deaths and there are nearly 16,000 people in serious or critical condition. We had 25K brand new cases yesterday.

Lie. Trump implemented a ban from China in January. The liberals dismissed it, calling him a racist, and ignored it until well into late March. They further obstructed Trump trying to get supplies to hospitals.

Covid is a flu. People die from the flu. Covid is very mild. A lot less people are dying from it than other flu the U.S. has experienced. We didn't close the economy for those!

All flu is a virus, dumbass. WHO called the Covid virus a flu. So did the U.S. government. For all effective purposes, it's a flu.
I notice that you decided to concentrate on semantic arguments instead of the low death rates and infection rates of the Covid-19 virus.
