I care about anyone who is LBGTQ being treated badly regardless of their nationality.
I am sure virtually all world leaders have justified in their minds that they have the citizens interests at heart.
Difficult to mind-read Putin, but he is clearly no Stalin or even Brezhnev. But I find it hard to believe an ex-leader of the KGB suddenly became a devout Orthodox Christian. It seems more likely to me that Putin is cynically creating the impression and trappings of a theocratic State because it serves the interests of the Kremlin at this time.

The federal anti-LGBT propaganda law, as signed by President Putin on June 29, entered into force in Russia on June 30 of this year. (The official version in Russian is published here.) In the federal law, propaganda is defined as: “distribution of information that is aimed at the formation among minors of nontraditional sexual attitudes, attractiveness of non- traditional sexual relations, misperceptions of the social equivalence of traditional and non-traditional sexual relations, or enforcing information about non-traditional sexual relations that evokes interest to such relations . .
Putin is one of the richest men in the world that is what he cares about. Russia is just a means to an end. He benefits the people, if it benefits him. It’s why Trump admires him. Putin is a very crafty man.
I heard a theory that Putin has acquired so much wealth through corruption that one reason he wants to stay in office forever is to make himself immune to the risk of potential prosecution for financial crimes.

Why the fuck is the embassy flying an LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ flag in the first place? If heterosexuals, come up with a flag of their own, will the embassy fly that too? Of course not, because it's idiotic. What kind of moron is "proud" of their sexual proclivities. News flash, NOBODY GIVES A FUCK.
Whoever is responsible for hoisting that flag should be immediately relieved of duty, and summarily shit canned.
